  1. Hello The last Priceline purchase I made was a few years ago but I will try and dig the deal up from my account and post on here. In the meantime I am busy sorting out details for my upcoming West Coast trip which I have been using this board to finalise details on. I actually fly in next week from the UK and still have large chunks of my plans to finalise. If I could get LAX - OGG tickets for a maximum of $400 then I think this would the opaque purchase worth it. My plan is to be in Hawaii from Friday morning until Wednesday morning and then get to Vegas by Wednesday early evening (preferred but obviously not guaranteed). Any suitable bidding strategies for the LAX-OGG? Thanks
  2. Hello Although I am quite familiar with Priceline's NYOP I have never used it to book flights so I would like to ask for some help please. I would like to book two adults tickets going from LAX to OGG on Friday 12th June and returning on Wednesday 17th June. I would prefer to fly non-stop and get there as early as possible in the day although I understand that this is not necessarily guaranteed. Using the ITA matrix the cheapest flights I can see are via American Airlines and come at a cost of $673 per passenger. Can you please tell me what a potential bidding strategy would look like and how much of a saving I could make? Thanks
  3. Hi Guys I am reducing my stay by one night by checking in on the 17th June and out at the 20th June. I can see the following hotel which I think is Wynn based on the amenities reported in other threads. Can you please comment. 17th June to 20th June. Rate per night = $156 Nights = 3 Subtotal = $468 Taxes + Fees = 87.30 Hotwire Total = $555.30 Resort Fee = $75.00 Trip Total = $630.30 Amenities: Free Parking, Casino, Fitness Centre, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Centre, Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower. 90% recommended with 405 total reviews. It looks like the Wynn but what is throwing me off the scent is that when I select the hotel at the top it says 'Book soon! The last person got the Encore Las Vegas'
  4. Hi Guys Is the 5* Hotel that I see listed currently on Hotwire either the Wynn or Encore? Dates 16th June to 20th June. 90% recommended The number of reviews keeps jumping from 104 to 409? Full list of amenities are: Free Parking, Suite, Casino, Fitness Centre, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Centre, Internet Access, Golf nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower. It's being advertised at $167 a night Thanks
  5. Hello I have no flexibility over where I stay as a group of friends are already booked up to stay at the Wynn and we need to be at the same hotel. I realise there is no guarantee over booking the Wynn from Hot.wire or Price.line but I was hoping that maybe an educated guess may have shown something that I myself wasn't able to see. As I mention I cannot see Wynn on either Hot.wire or PRICELINE EXPRESS with the group of facilities/ratings that would be a tell tale sign. Do you think if I was to wait some inventory may show up on Hotwire or Priceline? Thanks
  6. Hello The rate breakdown is shown below. Room subtotal = $671 Resort Fee = 130 Tax = $81 Total = $882 Thanks
  7. Thanks - previous thread now updated although I wasn't able to report a win on it unfortunately.
  8. Hello In the end we opted to stay at a friends relatives house as Price.line did not result in any success unfortunately. Thanks
  9. Hello All I will be in Vegas checking in on Tuesday 16th June and checking out on Saturday 20th June (4 nights). I would like to know what the best/cheapest way of securing a room at the Wynn hotel is? I have tried to search Hotwire and Priceline Express deals and I cannot see any potential matches for the Wynn. The cheapest alternative that I have found is booking a room via the hotels website itself which would cost $882 and includes the resort fee but is on a room only basis. Thanks for the help!
  10. Hi Guys, No luck for so far unfortunately. I'm willing to increase the bids to $200 in the hope it will help me secure a booking. If this also doesn't work then I would also be willing to lower the * rating to 3.5 * for a maximum bid of $160 (hoping that is realistic - if not then please advise). I would need to get this booked by Thursday PM as on Friday morning I start the first leg of my US tour by flying out to Vegas. Naturally I used the PRICELINE link from this site to begin my purchases. Thanks again!
  11. Hello, I have read my messages and clicked on the links. Look forward to your reply! Thanks, DK
  12. Hello, First post on this forum after being a long time lurker. Need help in booking a 4* Hotel in NYC for next week, checking in on Wednesday 27th April and staying for 3 nights. Check out would be on Saturday 30th April. I'm a Londoner and this is my first trip to NYC so I am not too sure what the best locations for 2 x 28 yr old male tourists are but I am assuming we would be advised to stay somewhere Central. So my preffered locations are MTE, MWE, MSG, CPS, TS. Please let me know if you would suggest something else as we will mainly be going to bars and clubs but obviously want to keep the prices within range. I am happy to stay in any of the zones mentioned above. Based on previous successful bids and current prices available on other sites our maximum bid per night will be $180. Please let me know of a suitable bidding strategy. Thanks. David Khan.
