  1. Tried $35 was asked to go to $46, used the other zone (100% dummy zone) bid 41 and got it. Not enough zones to find the bottom and really need a room. This was a great place to stay for $41, free breakfast, pool, bar, Microwave and Fridge in room. No Frills really, but got fed this morning and had a great nights sleep.
  2. Started at $38 rejected, $2 increase until I ended up at $46. Was hoping to get lucky and score the Aloft, but can't complain about a Courtyard for $46. Used sites PRICELINE link.
  3. This is not a promise, Understand? But there are two hotels that have been reported with this amenities set Sheraton Safari and the Clarion Lake Buena Vista The Clarion can be booked for $59 without using Hotwire so i'm pretty sure that wouldn't be it, but can't be certain. The Sheraton (no longer called the safari) is at $119 so that would be a smokin' deal.
  4. Can you provide the dates in question? Can you provide a full amenity list?
  5. It's a killer place i reported it this summer and stayed in February. It was a good place for the price. The Pool and outdoor areas are amazing. The rooms aren't anything special no fridge, no Micro. $10 a night parking. I will say, if i had to pay over $110 a night for it, i would be pissed.
  6. KC is fully of Dummy zones at 3.5 Stars, so i started at $45 and went up $2 a time until I won. I knew there was a 3.5 in OP and really wanted to get it just so we could get in on the board. Normally i would have just paid $45 and stayed at the Hyatt place, but was curious to see what the Sheraton could be had for. Now we know. Used the PRICELINE link. This really isn't a marvelous rate because normally the rooms go for $90 a night before tax (Weekends only) during the week it is about $160, so the savings was only about 20% after the booking fee. But from the reviews it seems like a great place to stay. If you got this place for $65 on a weekday, that would be phenomonal. Like I said earlier, KC has so many 3.5* dummy zones that everyone should start low and go up $2 at a time. I swear I posted this in the Kansas board. It's probably not good to have all the Overland Park, Kansas wins under Missouri. No wonder i couldn't find many wins when i went to the kansas Priceline board.
  7. tried $42, was offered $48. probably could have gotten it lower, but i'm happy no less.
  8. Seems like this is a new hotel for the Hotwire list. amenities: Free breakfast, business center, fitness center, high speed internet, Pool. Pretty pumped to get HIEX breakfast and free internet for $57. EDIT: So sorry it was a 3*
  9. Branson is not the place to use PRICELINE or HOTWIRE for a Motel. The Days Inn and Howard Johnson are the 2 and 2.5 star properties, and they are pretty awful, even for $40.
  10. I have a conference with a room block at $179 a night. I booked one night so i wouldn't get burned if it wasn't the hotel i wanted. It was $73 for the one night. Once it was clearly the place i wanted I booked 3 more nights at $71 each. Both through the HOTWIRE links provided by BETTER BIDDING!!!!!!!! This is an awesome hotel and worth way more than $71 a night! The Amenities list is Resort Smoke free rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Resturaunt(s) Business Center High Speed Internet Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa
  11. I've honestly noticed the "nicer" the hotel the less they care about where you booked. I was in Miami this February (before i found this site) and stayed at a Beautiful Sheraton at the Airport. The help was as kind as can be......on the other token the night before i stayed at a semi-rundown Holiday Inn and the front desk clerk made somewhat of a snide remark. I can honestly say I've booked 5 or 6 different Sheraton's across the nation and have always been treated like a first class customer. You go to the lower end 3*'s that are "Family owned and opperated" you get the strange look that just says "you must be a cheap bastard". The reason for that is usually the person working the front desk at those type of hotels is the owner or a relative of the owner who gets a cut of profits.
  12. I tried to priceline on the plaza first but couldn't get anything for under $66....so I jumped on the $66 night at the Aladdin using this site's HOTWIRE link. Thanks for the site Gentleman (or ladies) i hope you continue to at least make some money for your wonderful forum....and i will continue to use this resource. God Bless Dates.....5-5-11 to 5-8-11 3 Nights
