Failed at getting the Thomson at up to $116.

So settled for bidding on 3.5* properties - started @ $85

@ 95 they countered with $112.  Ramped to $99 to secure the bid.

Total with trip protection insurance was $125.82 USD ~ $170 CAD at credit card rates

Online pricing was around $262 CAD - so not a bad savings.

Started at $75 and worked upto $116 with 2 free rebids remaining.

Got tired of the process and put in $134 with a free rebid remaining.

All in was $160.70

Seems high for a 4* Toronto - but there is a lot going on in Toronto.

Hotel website has ZERO rooms for that date.

The cheapest room for another date was $239 CAD.

So still - final cost - Priceline $160.70 - Hilton Direct ~ >$250.

First Bid $64 - Could have started lower for a 4* considering all the free rebid zones.

I'd start at $50 and see where it leads.

Web Rate was $179 - so $64 can't be too unhappy with the win.
