  1. Hi, Hoping for some help to get a good deal in NYC please! We're willing to compromise on location to get a nicer hotel for cheaper. I live in London so very used to public transport! Dates: Wed 10/29 (flexible one day either way) to 11/5 (fixed) Rating: 4* or 3.5* Zones: Happy to stay in any of the mid/downtown areas, preferring more residential not touristy, but will go to Brooklyn/Long Island City if we can get a really good deal. Budget: Max $170/night I know the marathon is on and will push prices up but is that a realistic budget? We've used priceline before so I'm willing to do lots of re-bidding to get the cheapest price. Thanks a lot for any advice, it's a great job everyone does here :)
  2. It seems you were exactly right! We got the 3.5* for $161. We're at the Sheraton Delfina. It seems this is on Hotwire for about the same amount but it's taken out the hassle of having to pick somewhere at least. Thanks for the help :)
  3. Hi, I've been having a bit of luck getting hotels using Priceline for an upcoming trip to LA and then Chicago (I promise to post all the details once I've got them all confirmed!) The only hotel we're struggling with is a 4* in LA when we arrive. Zones: Beverley Hills or Santa Monica Dates: 3rd June - 6th June. I've currently bid using the re-bidding zones etc. up to $160/night but still nothing's been accepted. This is about our maximum so we're looking for a new strategy... My questions: Am I being completely unrealistic with my bids and should go down a star level or change zones?(if so what bid should I start at?) Should I book a refundable hotel and then keep trying when I'm a bit closer to the time? (And what bid would be good to start with then?) Thanks for the help - this website's been brilliant with the Priceline Maps and advice! Tina
  4. Hi we're going to Paris 16th-19th of July. We'd like to stay in a 4* to 5* hotel in one of areas 2, 3 or 6. I'm being taken for my birthday and have been given a budget of up to
