  1. Surprised I won the bid on the 1st try. Priceline listed it for $109 night. 3x$55=$165 Taxes and fees $26.94 Grand total $191.94 I've previously stayed here and loved the close proximity to Oregon State Univ. campus (5-8 mins), Trader's Joe, etc. Complimentary full hot breakfast, free internet in room, and free parking. The hotel is NE of the campus and borders on 9th street which is where a lot of the stores are located.
  2. Started the bid at $45 and was denied. Rebid $48 using "Liberty Lake" since they don't have any 3* rated rooms and was denied. Rebid $50 using "Spokane North" and won the bid. Price of room: $50 Taxes & fees: $14.75 Total: $64.75 The rooms here are running $85 so not sure if this is a bargain!
  3. Have stayed elsewhere (Red Lions PDX) several times in the past 2 years. Won Priceline bids of $37/$43 at that time. Haven't been lucky enough to get those prices this time. Saw another post with a win of $48 so attempted a bid of $45 which wasn't accepted. They countered with a price of $55. Added another bid (adding downtown) for $48 and won this bid. Room for 4 nites $48 x 4 = $192 Taxes and fees = $34.28 Total = $226.28 Which makes it $56.57 per nite (included all taxes and fees). Satisfied with the price since they are asking for $107 per night.
  4. Have been bidding for awhile for Sept. 11 for a 1 nite stay. Started off with a bid of $35 for several weeks now. Decided to up the price to $40 since I wasn't lucky. Priceline countered asking for $48. Added Downtown for $43. Bid accepted. Stayed there before and won that bid for $37 last Sept. Enjoyed my stay and at least it was easy to find. Free shuttle, parking & they don't make an issue that this was a priceline reservation. Sorry, should have mentioned in the Topic that this is a: 3* Portland (Airport PDX) Red Lion
  5. Bid $30 - 4* PDX rejected Bid $35 - 3 1/2* PDX rejected Bid $37 - 3*-4* Downtown Won Bid $37x4=$148 plus $28 taxes and fees Total$176 Was hoping for Aloft
  6. We choose this area for the view and it being less congested. The beach wasn't a factor :) because we're actually from Hawaii. We don't like to stay in the city and felt this was a nice compromise, close to attractions, nice hotel and away from the masses (Hotel Circle, Downtown, etc.). Looking forward to our stay there :o Loews won't accept their "Loews First" (guest recognition program) for priceline customers. :)
  7. Just to let you know. Priceline counter offered the 21st for $145. Which would average out the room to $132. Looks like the last night was the reason for all those rejections. The lowest web offering was $185/175. By the way, Priceline listed this hotel as a 3* (on their summary page) even if they claimed to have upgraded me to a 4*. Be careful in you bid $145 in the Coronado area if you don't want the Loews. Seems to be the low end of their properties. Hope, this helps anyone else for this area.
  8. Initial dates where for 6/18-6/21 with a Sat. check in. Rejections as follows: Point Loma 3* began @ $65 ended at $70 Coronado 4* began @ 100 ended at $140 Downtown 4* began @ 90 emded at $130 Downtown 3* began @80 ended at $100 Acceptance: Started with Point Loma 3* @105 rebid Miramar @ 115 rebid Coronado 4* @ $125 It was upgraded from a 3* to a 4* because I think Coronado doesn't have any 3* So I can't say what the bottom line is for Coronado since it was my last entry.
  9. Won this bid: Loews Coronado Bay Resort for travel 6/18-6/20 even with a Sat. check-in $125 with PL Problem is I actually needed it till 6/21 Any sugguestions on how to extend the trip in the same hotel?
