  1. Thank you again for all your help. Have just booked the Comfort Inn Times Square West at $973 for 5 nights - not a bad rate and looks like a fairly decent hotel. Best wishes, William
  2. Thanks, Aaron, just looking at at it all now. Your code did not work but it was saying 20% off anyway on the Days hotel. I've got the Crowne Plaza in my system at USD 1250 for the 5 nights all taxes included....just wondering if we should save more! Thank you again, W
  3. I called Hotwire and he said there was no guarantee on beds....but I am assuming HOTWIRE will not expect all four of us to bunk down in one big bed??? W

  8. Hmm, sorry this is a long time ago and I did not write back straight away. In the end I 'won' three free nights through work and Regal Hotels. So ended up going for free, which is always nice. Thanks, William
  9. Hi there, Could one of you help with the above stay, please? We are two adults and two children - 6 and 3 years old. Would be happy with, unless you have other ideas for such a family on vacation: Central Park South– detail map Chelsea Area– detail map Empire State Building Area– detail map Hell's Kitchen– detail map Madison Square Garden - Convention Area– detail map Midtown East– detail map Midtown West– detail map Times Square - Theatre District– detail map Upper East Side– detail map Upper West Side– detail map No real budget ($300 a night or less) but would need to have enough beds for us all, so does that mean two rooms? Many thanks, William
  10. Hi T et al, Not great but it will do. With tax, came to about $80. Used your PRICELINE link. Best wishes, William
  11. Good evening, Thank you for all of that. What a clever system and dead impressed. I hope you've earnt a fortune through all my click-throughs tonight! Anyway, no dice - got excited at about $190 when it asked me to check back in 15 mins but still nothing. Went all the way upto $200 but still nothing. Thoughts? Did try PL HK but they've changed the system since I last used it and you cannot just keep adding $5 - shame! Thanks. William
  12. Hi there, Mr T and helpers. Site is still great and y'all seem very friendly unlike that other bunch - why do people still use her when she's so grumpy? Anyway, hope all is well and I shall try and be less controversial now! I was wondering if you could suggest or allay my fears. Have been bidding on and off recently for above stay as agent rates seem quite high and we don't want to pay that, do we! Travel agents want everything for nothing. Yesterday I bid from about $110 a night right upto $160 with no luck, using your link and free rebids. Any suggestions? Don't really want to go to 4* as I know I'll get the bleeding Cosmo - been there enough! Would rather get it for under $200 a night but am I being realistic? Thanks in advance, William
  13. Hmm, not easy, eh? I'd say I've reach my max but thought if you said $110-120 would do it, I might seriously consider it. Damn and blast! Thanks, Mr T, be on your case again soon! William
  14. Hi Mr T and co, Have been looking and bidding via the new link for later this week and no success from $70 to $90 just now. What would you suggest I will have to spend? I have a back-up of $72 but it's a bit out of town. There's a lot going on in the city...hence my trip but just wondering if I am going to have to pay big bucks, in which case I'll stick with my back-up. Thanks again in advance, William
  15. Hi again all, Starting bidding at $65, counter of $81 came up, which I ignored and added a free rebid and $5. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $70.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $140.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $28.34 (USD) Total Room Cost: $168.34 (USD) Hope this helps and did use the new small PRICELINE link up the top of the page. Keep up the good work, Mr T, William
  16. Hi, Just bid $100 in London for 2 rooms and was offered a 'buy now, special' deal' at $188. Went up to $105, $110, $120, $130, $140 using the free rebids but no joy. Think I got excited by getting an offer on the first bid. Will try again tomorrow. Best wishes, William
  17. I got her the Sheraton Centre Downtown. Thanks, Mr T and until the next time, using your PRICELINE link! W
  18. Hi Mr T, Been a while since I used PRICELINE. Used all the free bids, starting at $40 and going up about $3 a time. Probably overpaid but for my niece and I'm sure she'll be delighted. HOTWIRE had a 4* DT East at $58 and a West at $72 but have been stung too many times with Hotwire! Glad things seems to be going well for you here! Best wishes from across the pond, William
  19. Forgot to say my Brother is willing to split stay; either in Wets Hollywood in 2 hotels or a mix of WH and downtown. Looking forward to some expert assistance..... W
  20. No, no, definite convert to PL US just baby prevents rebidding every 3 days!! They're not going until Jan 28th so am keeping cool, saw a 4* on HOTWIRE for $100 so mulling things over. W
  21. Dear All, Sorry for the trouble again, got a few fingers in every pie. This time trying to get my Brother and niece to LA for a week. Tried bidding from $100 upto $140 with no luck - seems it's quite busy 10/23-28, is it worth splitting the bid? Any ideas gratefully received. Can bid upto
  22. Mille grazie, merci, Danke!! Will give it a go tomorrow. Best wishes, William
