Hi, we are looking at going to Rome at the end of September (roughly Sept 27 - Oct4) and will likely want to stay in the "Coliseum - Termini Station" area. I cannot find any previous winning bids and wondering what we should expect to pay at that time of year. If pricing between 5* and 4* are are similar, we would like 5*. Thanks!

Thank you for the advice. Unfortunately I was not successful and will have to split my bidding. HOTWIRE currently has a hotel for the 12th for $179. I will try 13-16 and if successful, book the single evening through HOTWIRE.

Splitting would be fine. What would be the best split? 12 and then 13-15? Our max per night would be $180/night. Thanks for your help!

Hi, This will be our frist trip to NYC and we wanted to stay in an areas that have been recommended to us (MTE and Soho). I think, as long as the hotel is in a convenient location, we would be ok. Our requirements are: 4* and $250/night max. We were considering stay in Jersey City and taking the PATH, but we'd rather not rely on a train.

Hi guys, I am looking for strategies for bidding a 4* hotel in either Soho or Midtown East for 09/14/11 - 09/18/11. We have tried both areas up to $250/night, but have been unsucessful. :) I know that prices are based on dates, but unfortunately, we have already booked the flight. Any suggestions???

Hi all, I will be travelling to San Fran for a conference from Aug 1-4, but will be spending some time in San Fran afterwards. The conference is being held @ the Hyatt Regency. It is a small conference (100 attendees). I understand there are only three hotels at the 4* level being offered through Priceline. Any tips that can "guarantee" I get the Hyatt?
