  1. ARe there any 4 star hotels in the Hartford Airport area participating on HOTWIRE? I don't see any on the hotel list. Does anyone know if Marriott Windsor Airport hotel would be considered for hotwire is a 3.5 or 4 star?
  2. I'm sorry. There is a business center icon as well. I ended up doing Priceline for $80/White House-Downtown and got Renaissance Mayflower. Thanks.
  3. Going to DC for one night, May 2nd. Want Capitol Hill neighborhood. There is a four star for $86 in White House Capitol Hill. Description icons are Fitness, Restaurant, High Speed internet, SPA Based on 200+ reviews on Tripadvisor. Based on the hotel list on this site, I am narrowing down the two possibilites to either Willard Intercontinental or Capitol Hilton by using SPA icon as hint. On tripadvisor, Willard Intercontinental has 156 reviews and Hilton has 206. Probably the hilton? Can anyone please advise? Thanks.
  4. I am so happy. You were both right. I got the Palmer House for $75. I used your HOTWIRE link. I really really appreciate your help on this!
  5. I have done as you requested. thanks. Kindly respond to my question.
  6. I have decided not top pursue this location. I have a separate thread seeking advice to get Palmer House Hilton for same date. thanks.
  7. Is that the $75 4 star in loop? Is the clue for Palmer house the pool? thanks. appreciate your help.
  8. I know I have previous posts on wanting Conrad, but after further deliberation on what I need to accomplish on this Chicago trip, I think Hilton Palmer House is going to be best location. My dates are for one night 3/29-3/30. I have come up with 3.5 star loop for $86 and 4 star loop for $89. Hilton is listed as a brand under the 3.5 star but this one is listing Boutique, which I don't see this being a boutique hotel. The 4 star has a pool, but doesn't have Hilton listed as a 4 star brand? According to the list on this site, Palmer house was a 4 then 3.5 star? Please advise. thanks.
  9. I am trying to get the Conrad for one night arriving on Sunday, March 29. I am coming up with $95 Mag Mile / Streeterville 4.5 star but can't figure out if it's Intercontinental or Conrad. The Tripadvisor info says 320+ reviews and last reviewed in Feb. 2009. Well Tripadvisor shows over 300+ reviews but last reviewed in March for Intercontinental and Conrad is not quite 300 reviews and last reviewed in Feb. Other hints are "best value" and fitness center, business center, restaurant and high speed internet. Any ideas? I have a room reserved at Conrad for $189 but would love to save $100 and put money towards parking, food, etc.
  10. What are the red circled numbers on the hotel map when you click on one of the search results? Are they representative of the location of one of the hotels in your search? Could you guess the hotel by the location on the map?
  11. No. I just saw that it is a 4.5 star property in some of the threads on this site. So what do you think the hotel is?
  12. Thanks for your response. I did not see a tripadvisor rating earlier today or just now when I ran the search. The only other possible distinguishing factors are "lowest price guarantee" and "best value" square icons. No "customer favorite" as I have sometimes seen on other searches. Looks like a 4.5 star Michigan Ave/Streeterville will be either Conrad, Intercontinental or Dana??
  13. Hi. I want to try to get the Conrad March 13-15th weekend. From reading the forums, I cannot tell if the $95 4.5 star hotel is the Conrad or Intercontinental. It looks like Intercontinental is coming up as a 4 star where previously it was 4.5. The amenites on my $95 4.5 star search are showing as fitness center, restaurant, business center and internet access. No pool. I know Intercontinental has a pool and the Conrad doesn't. Maybe it's the Conrad??
  14. I really wanted the Residence Inn Gallaria since it offers free parking, breakfast and spacious rooms. Also, it's next to the mall and restaurants. My husband will be gone all day for 5 days attending a review course. I will be 7 months pregnant by then and thought it would be the best place to stay to keep myself occupied. On the TOBB.com website, they have some St. Louis hotels listed according to star rating and neighborhood and this hotel is the only one listed under its category. I still feel it's risky to try for it on priceline because I know new hotels pop up all the time.
  15. I have a reservation for Aug 5-10th at the Residence Inn Galaria St Louis through the Residence Inn website for $159/night. I am wondering if I could get a better rate from Priceline. From my research, I think it's a 2.5 class property in the Forest Park/Clayton area. What rate would be the best one to start off bidding? $60? $70? Keep in mind, I am traveling during summer tourist season. Thanks.
