We used the HOTWIRE link and got the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa (the Golf Location, not the Beach location) for $114/night per room for two rooms. Amenities are Resort, Boutique, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, High Speed Internet, Golf and Spa Services. The Westin website is showing about $350 per night for these dates, so this seems to be a great deal.

We used the HOTWIRE link from Better Bidding to book the W Hotel Fort Lauderdale for $123 a night. Thanks to the person who posted about this deal/hotel last night for confirming that this was the W! This is for Presidents' Day Weekend, so we are very, very happy about the price. On the W website, a standard room for this weekend is $410/night. Unfortunately, parking is $30/night at this hotel, but I think that would be true of any 4* hotel on Fort Lauderdale beach. Listed amenities are Oceanfront, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Laundry, High Speed Internet Access and Spa.

I have been trying the same general price range/strategy for the past two weeks and finally had a bid accepted tonight. I originally bid $90 in the Downtown zone, which was rejected. Then I added the Granville Entertainment zone and increased my bid to $95 and the bid was accepted. On the Sheraton website, a non-refundable room for the same night is about $184. I used the PRICELINE link. :)

I used $55 as my first bid and got the Westin for Saturday, 6/17/06. I booked 1 Room for 1 Night. The total cost was about $70.

On Priceline. Tried $115 on MTE only, then $115 on MTE and MTN, then $120 on MTE, MTN, and MTW Got Hilton New York, on 6th Ave and 54th, $120/night ($287 for two nights after "ouch" taxes).

I put in same price for a 4* which was not accepted.
