we stayed at the Doubletree. It was very lovely but far from where our friends were staying. We used Priceline express. Only one night. Wonderful that you can use the facilities at La Concha.

Thanks very much for your help. I used your PRICELINE entry to book the Doubletree by Hilton in San Juan for the above date (11/30/2012). I was very pleased with the price and the availability to use La Concha's beach. The plus at staying at this lovely hotel is the supermarket across the street. They have an excellent cafeteria for some real home good PR meals. The special offered was 20% off, 2 free drinks at the bar and a buffet breakfast. Can't beat the $119 special price with a slight cut in taxes and fees total $133.17. I am very happy with my purchase, it is non-refundable.
