  1. It is indeed InterContinental Toronto Centre. Thanks so much for the help. :)
  2. Hi there, I am a newbie to hotwire. I found this on hotwire: 4.5*, downtown Toronto west, $94 per nite, 7/6-7/11 Amenities: Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply. Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. Restaurant(s) Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary. Business Center Guests have access to business equipment and services; an additional charge may apply. High-speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply. Spa Services Guests have access to a spa facility or spa services; an extra charge typically applies. more than 120 reviews, traveler rating 3.5, last reviewed May 08. Is it Inter-Continental Toronto Centre or Intercontinental Yorkville? Really appreciate your help! I found Inter-Continental Toronto Centre more likely because of spa service.

  5. Ha...really ironic. Actually I changed my mind to bid on 5/17 and got the house of blue hotel for $160. What do you think? I think it is a good deal since Expedia shows $259. :)
  6. I ended up getting 4* RNA for $160 per room. Total I paid: $378.48 after tax. House Of Blues Hotel A Loews Hotel Check-In Date: Tuesday, May 17, 2005 Check-Out Date: Wednesday, May 18, 2005 here is my bid history: (successful finally :) ) 1 bidding: the Loop $140, failed 2 rebid: +Lincoln park $160, accepted I was not very patient after all those attempts. My guess is that you can get it around $150. Anyway, I am quite happy with it since the lowest price in Expedia for House of blue hotel is $259. :) Anyone stayed in House of blue hotel before? Any comments will be great.

  11. Based on my last bidding experience on 5/14, I am forced to lower my expectation. :) Hope I have better luck this time. zone preference: NMA->RNA->The Loop. budget: around $120 per room per nite. start my first unsuccessful bidding like this: 1 bidding - NMA $85, failed 2 rebid - +Lincoln park $90, failed 3 rebid - +Midway $95, failed 4 rebid - +Evanston $100, failed going to try RNA now, starting $100
  12. I finally decided to bid a 4* hotel at ORD 4* 1st bid: $45 4* 2nd bid: $58 accepted (Price asked me to raise my price by $13 and I can rebid right away) Hilton Chicago Ohare Airport Check-In Date: Saturday, May 14, 2005 Check-Out Date: Sunday, May 15, 2005 guess I am ok with that since the lowest price on hilton's website is $144. Price on NMA is crazy!! Thereuare, thanks anyway.
  13. I tried RNA for the same bid as my last post. And all failed!!! For the Loop: 4* Loop for $100: fail 4* Loop+Lincoln park for $110: fail 4* Loop+midway for $120: fail 4* Loop+evanston for $130: fail Desparate now. I will try 72 hrs later. :)
  14. Yes. it is two separate day. here is the bid I tried 4* NMA for 85 - fail 4* rebid NMA + Lincoln park for 90 - fail 4* rebid NMA + Midway for 95 - fail 4* rebid NMA + Evanston for 100 - fail And I checked the Hyatt rate for 5/14. All three Hyatt near downtown are all sold out!!! I am trying RNA right now. :)
  15. I will either choose to lower the star rate or book hotels at another zone, ORD for example.
  16. My parents are visiting me around mid May and we plan to stay at Chicago on 5/14 and 5/19. We will need two 4* rooms. The zone preference is NMA->RNA->The Loop. My budget is around $80 per room per nite. I need some help on the starting price of my bid. I am quite pessimistic since there is a convention going on: May 14-20 Digestive Disease Week Lakeside Center at McCormick Place Delegates: 14,000 If my budget is too low, I think 3* is also ok. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.
