  1. Thanks. Do you have any data on which car rental company Hotwire defaults to at TPA (Tampa Airport)?
  2. Our flight was cancelled in Toronto, so we had to book a hotel for 1 night. I realised after that my trip cancelation insurance would cover my hotel . so we booked hotel directly so we knew what we'd be getting. Chelsea Hotel - $199.
  3. OK. Done. just followed up on my previous hotel thread. sorry. (did not book a hotel, BTW) I guess I'd like to also add: having never used either HW or PL for car rental - which is more popular? This is what I'm getting from HW for an Economy car, May 5-12/17: "About your car rental Fri, May 5 at 1:30 PM to Fri, May 12 at 8:00 AM Your Economy rental Unlimited miles In Terminal Kia Rio or similar** Save $22.70 a day when you book now! $30.98 $ 8 28 per day $128.71 total x4 x1 x1 More car features " Can anyone tell me which rental co. this is? And, if additional driver (spouse) is included at no charge? Will i be hit with any more charges at check-out? THANKS.
  4. Ok. Just updating..as requested in my new thread... Sorry :) I did not book any hotel with HW or PL in Toronto. Thanks. (but....looking at info above...the Royal york...for $87 ,,,??? WOW!)
  5. OK :) I'll try to simplify things. Anyone know which car rental co. HW defaults to at TPA these days? And, with that co. is there any additional charge to add your spouse (over 25) (disclosure- I usually use Enterprise & THEY never charge me :) )
  6. OK...sniffing around a bit it seems like YES,the HW quote IS the final price at check-out. No surprises? Correct.? I guess what I'd like to know is who does HW default to at TPA? AND How can I find out in advance if an additional driver is included at no addotional charge in the HW quote?
  7. Just looking for some info here. I need to book a car at TPA in May. Hotwire's rate on the car i want is $128 vs $248 thru Costco Travel. It shows that it's an "in-terminal" location, which is what I want. It doesn't say whether rate include additional driver at N/C or not. Never used Hotwire for car rental before. Are there additional charges I should know about? or other "catches" I should know about? looking for help here from those who might know. Will provide any info. requested. thanks all.
  8. OK thanks. one night only April 3/17 I redid search for 4.5* & better (I couldn't seem to open it up by Zone - but I ticked "Downtown Toronto west" in the Area Selection"?) 3 Hotels came up. 9. Been a while since I've used Forum.... I forget exactly how it works. i need to book a last minute hotel in toronto for tomorrow night & need help trying to pin down the first 4*hotel currently on the list -at $120. "pet friendly, indoor pool(s), fitness centre, pool(s), restaurant(s), business centre, internet, spa service" Help anyone? which hotel is this?

  11. Question for anyone here on the site. I've been looking around for a DT Miami hotel for 1 night (Dec.3). It appears? (not sure) that HW is offering this hotel for my date for $128 -which seems to be a darn good rate for DT Miami. Also, when i go to your sister site mapsandhotels, and filter by 3.5 -4 star hotels for that date, 8 hotels pop up with The Langford sustantially lower ($153) than the other 7. Never having been to Miami, and being the wary type... I'm wondering if i should jump on this rate...or is there something I should know about this hotel (if it IS The Langford), tha's keeping its price so low??? Is this deal "too good to be true"?? Any comments appreciated. Thanks.
  12. Hi. all. Looking for some guidance from you pros! Need a hotel for just 1 night (pre-cruise) - Sat. Dec. 3rd. Any bargains to be had ($200 or less) on HOTWIRE - or anywhere else? All comments appreciated.
  13. as i said... when i go to hotwire & search by area (downtown-portof miami) then click on this $128 hotel to book, hotwire takes me to the next page, where a little blue "balloon" pops up saying: "Book soon! The last person got The Langford Hotel". It keeps saying that & indicates that people have booked...so I'm assuming it's The Langford ?
  14. here's the amenities tab: FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access
  15. ok - not sure how this site works. I went to your HOTWIRE link, put in Miami, date-Dec3 1 night. Got results then refined by area - Downtown. 6 hotels came up. First one is "Downtown-Port of Miami area boutique hotel" 4-star, 85% recommended, $128. When I clicked on this hotel, it went to nect page, with a little blue balloon saying: "Book soon! The last person got the Langford Hotel" Can someone identify this hotel ?? Thanks.
  16. OK...followed up on my Fort Lauderdale thread. Can I close the thread? Or do you do that?
  17. For Information, I ended up booking the Courtyard Marriott (through their website) at $199. I wanted to be sure I got the Courtyard, so i booked with them direct.
  18. I need to book pre-cruise hotel in Miami for 1 night Dec.3. Someone on another forum recently gave me this information: "I see a 4 star in downtown on Hot Wire for just under $150. 80% favorable. Priceline express also has the 4 star property for $150. Lines up to be the Hyatt. Very good price." Can anyone help me find / identify these hotels on HOTWIRE or PRICELINE? OR direct me to any other good deals on the sites. I'd like to get something booked, but I'm not too familiar with using these sites. Thanks!
  19. Not exactly surehow things work around here. But, can anyone tell me if The Courtyard (Marriott) Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel at 440 Seabreeze Blvd.,Fort Lauderdale FL 33316 is one of the hotels used by Hotwire for Fort Lauderdale? And if so, which hotel description it is? Thanks!
