  1. Used the HOTWIRE link, navigated to the Deals page and searched for Seattle. I was hoping for a Satuday+Sunday stay, but found a "Last Minute" offer for 3* Seattle Airport hotel for $58 (plus $14 tax) for Saturday only. Even though I needed two nights, I jumped on this deal in a heart beat, as there didn't seem to be anything affordable available for the Memorial weekend. Booked less than 24 hours before checking in. I was very happy with this reservation even though this is a low level Hotwire 3* hotel at best. The room and bed were average, not nearly as nice as the Priceline 3* Airport Hilton that is less than 1/4 mile away and closer to the skyway. Luckily for me, I was able to get the Hilton the following night for the same price.
  2. Used PRICELINE link to win this fantastic Hilton Seattle Airport hotel. Booked 5/25/12 for stay on 5/27/12. Initially tried booking for Saturday night and Sunday night (5/26-5/28) @ $56, but could not get both nights. Rebid @ $56 for Sunday only with success. Total was $72 including tax. Most Seattle area hotels seemed to be full for the Memorial Day + Seattle Folklife Festival weekend. Very happy with this rate and this hotel, especially during the crowded weekend. Side note, I stayed on Saturday nite at the nearby 3* Airport Coast Gateway hotel (edit: booked using HOTWIRE) and I would rate this 3* Hilton at least a half star better (maybe even a full star better).
  3. Used the PRICELINE link to win a last minute Friday night stay (booked day before) on a very busy Memorial Day + Seattle Folklife Festival weekend. Most hotels were fully booked for this weekend, so I would have been happy winning anything. That said, I loved the Red Lion Hotel. The room was nice and bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, I could only book for one night, as the remaining nights of my stay (Saturday and Sunday) were not available for my 3.5* bid range of under $136. I booked on 5/24/12 for my stay on 5/25/12. I hope to "win" this hotel the next time I stay in Seattle.
  4. Used the BiddingHelper.com to search for 4* in the Seattle Downtown area for a 5 day Memorial Weekend. Started bidding at $90 and went up to $120. Started bidding only on Space Needle, then added Pike Place, then added Lake Union in order to immediately re-bid for my exact dates 5/23/12-5/28/12. Didn't get the win ($96 in Pike Place) until I reduced the dates to 5/23/12-5/25/12. Now I need to find a win for the rest of the trip, 5/25/12-5/28/12.
