Hoping it is at least ok. As mentioned tried to get a better grade of hotel but was not having much luck and there appears to be just two 2.5 star properties , tried the bidding process up to $65 and thought that should have been accepted. Perhaps for that day those rooms are at a premium space wise. A question , if that wasn't working with priceline ,would attempting that with hotwire perhaps change the outcome? Mrs modern was hoping for the whirlpool and a bigger room , and we were able to get that for 2 nights prior to this booking in GF at the Fairfield Inn , at a lowe price. Any tips to secure that in the future? If you bid higher do you stand a chance of getting a room similar to this at 2 star instead of maybe the Fairfield in Fargo? Also , I was leary of leaving to a day or two before and not being able to get a room , is that generally an ok idea to do? To leave it to last minute/day? Or risky in regards to not having any rooms available? I know a general question , but trying to get up to speed. Thanks.

Booked the Econo Lodge , 35th St. Fargo for $43 , $54.94 all included. Tried multiple times over several days , wanted to get the Windgate as we have stayed there and quite like it , however after getting to $65 and not being accepted didn't wan't to wait and not be assured that we would either not get a 2.5 hotel or have to pay close to $100 all included. The Econo Lodge states it has free breakfast so that is a little bonus , we'll see how the room and hotel are. Can't complain about the price , but was hoping to get a 2.5 hotel .

I am a bit frustrated with trying to bid on a hotel room in Fargo for March 5. I successfully bid on a room in GF for the previous 2 nights, I tried to place a bid for a 2.5 rated hotel with priceline on 2 successive nights but get this message after bid not being accepted "We were not able to process this request since our records indicate you have already made a request for this same trip. Your credit card has not been charged for Request Number 123-068-900-03" I upped the price but receive the same message , and I can't change the date ( as per suggestion ) nor do I want to change the location or level of room. Am I doing something wrong? If I bid $63 for a 2.5 , and it is not accepted why can I not raise my limit till either it is accepted or I don't wish to pay that? I can't seem to unclick star levels, do you just select a lower one and leave the existing levels? This worked so well the first time but subsequent attempts are frustrating to say the least.

The dates are for March 3 and March 4.

With the direction from here I placed a bid for 2 nights at a 2 star hotel in Grand Forks for $37 a night , it was accepted . Total for 2 days with taxes and fees $89.80. Beyond pleased, being from Winnipeg we go to ND for getaways regularly and have stayed at and enjoyed the Fairfield Inn and enjoyed it at that price for one night.
