  1. I got lucky and found a friend's place I can stay for the concert, so I don't need a hotel anymore. Thanks for your help anyhow!
  2. Looking to stay in the downtown area for ACL (October 4th thru 6th). Any idea what these two hotels are? 3. Priceline says I saved 38%. Hotels.com has it on special for $370 (from $529) for the same timeframe. Thanks guys!
  4. Yes, I did purchase and receive the Intercontinental. The room was $204 a night. It is a 4.5 * hotel. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks.
  5. Looks like the 4* TS is the Intercontinental.. While a bit reluctant to stay so close to Times Square, it looks like a good property and an opportunity to catch a show since I'll be in the area. $204 per night ($498.66 for two nights after taxes and fees). The rate on hotels.com is $260 a night. Thanks a lot!
  6. I couldn't determine which one is which and now they've changed again :( What's your best guess on these three? 4.5* MTC Restaurant(s), High-Speed Internet Access, Business Center, Fitness Center Not enough reviews $193 4.5* TS [intercontinental Times Square (maybe Crowne Plaza Hotel, Millenium Broadway, and Hilton Times Square)] Restaurant(s), High-Speed Internet Access, Business Center, Fitness Center Not enough reviews $204 4.5* Downtown / SoHo / Financial District Restaurant(s), High-Speed Internet Access, Business Center, Fitness Center Recommended 90% From $254, now $170 Based on the Hotwire hotel list, my best guess is: 4.5* MTC is Sofitel 4.5* TS is Intercontinental (or can it be Crowne Plaza Hotel, Millenium Broadway, and Hilton Times Square ??) 4.5* Downtown is W Downtown or Tribeca Grand (any clues to which it is?) Thanks!
  7. I'm thinking the first one (4.5* Downtown/ SoHo) is either the W Downtown or Tribeca Grand but am not sure (W Downtown is fully booked according to their website). The 4* ESB is probably the Kitano? Of these, which do you guys recommend the most? Thanks!
  8. I decided on staying at the Intercontinental at the regular rate of $205.85 per night. Factoring in taxi fare, it turns out to be the better deal and more convenient since I would prefer to be in downtown Austin and walking distance from several venues. Thanks again.
  9. Thanks for your help, but neither are exactly what I'm looking for. I decided to book elsewhere. Thanks again!
  10. Sorry about that. Provided follow-up already. Forgot to mention that the dates are 1/21-1/22. Thanks!
  11. Thanks for your help, but my friends decided to stay somewhere else. :(

First time in LA and not sure exactly where to stay... would like to do some touristy stuff, restaurants, and maybe a little nightlife. Anyone give a recommendation on either of these two hotels? 19. LOL... I guess it's gone already. That was fast. I preferred the bed choice. I guess I'll stick with theWit. Thank you for your help anyways.
  20. 8/19-8/21 4* $152 Bed Choice ($5 extra charge) Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Recommended in 85% of Hotwire customer reviews 4.5* $198 Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Recommended in 90% of Hotwire customer reviews And any idea how these two compare to theWit? That's my first choice right now. Thanks as always!
  21. I know that hotwire occasionally let's you pay extra for the right to choose the bed type, but what if you can't select. Is it always random or is there a strategy? (ie. certain brands only use certain types of rooms for hotwire / priceline, etc..) When I travel alone, I get two beds, and when I traveling with someone else, I get one bed. Or do they purposely see two guys and try to give me one bed?!
  22. Sorry about that... I stayed from 7/30-7/31
