  1. Actually already had a reservation for 119.00 with breakfast and Internet, so glad to save some money.
  2. Started at 68.00 and added in 2-5.00 increments using 6 lower star rebidding zones. Accepted at 92.00. Lowest 4* Priceline Express deal was 112.00 but lowest published rate for the Marriott was 289.00. Seems kind of strange, but I'm happy. Haven't stayed at this Marriott yet.
  3. Note: The area is Napa Downtown North. Express deal was 120.00. My first bid of 100.00 was accepted.
  4. Started out at 63.00 adding incremental bids with various zones. Bid was accepted at 70.00. As express deal, price was 77.00. Lowest regular rate was 109.00. However, they have package rates for 119.00 including Internet and breakfast for two. Used the embedded link to PRICELINE.
  5. The Doubletree Grand Key is 114.00 at www.lastminutetravel.com (as an unidentified 3.5* --- when you click on an unidentified hotel and add an activity, you see the name of the hotel); it's 172.00 when identified.
  6. When I edited the title, it changed the dates. Dates are 12/14/12 to 12/15/12. Sorry for the mess-up.
  7. Started with 60.00 and increased by 2-3.00 by adding other areas without 4* hotels. I was aiming for the Intercontinental for about 80.00. Bid at 78.00 was accepted for the Hyatt Downtown. Lastminutetravel had it as an unidentified hotel for 115.00. The reviews are not great, but it will be fine for one night. Used link to PRICELINE.
  8. I referred to the Hyatt Regency Princeton at 103 Carnegie Center/Alexander Road. It's the closest to the main university campus. Parking is free. It has a nicer pool, and rooms are larger than the Wyndham Forrestal. I had absolutely no complaints at the Wyndham Forrestal, except that the fitness room was fairly hot. No issues with peeling paint, worn furniture, mold, clogged toilets, showers, etc. in my room. My room was in the North Tower.
  9. Just returned and was pleasantly surprised. The room was a decent size, clean, and unlike the Hyatt Regency, had firm pillows, complimentary bottled water, and free Internet. Overall, a good experience, even though I still prefer the Hyatt's location for easy access to route 1 and the main university campus.
  10. Started bidding Princeton West for three nights 5/24/12-5/26/12 for 3 1/2* for 56.00, then added 3* for 58.00. Then bid for one night for 60.00 and received Hyatt Regency. Added additional night at same rate. My problem was that I actually needed 3 nights, so I started bidding for one night, 5/26/12, for 60.00, then added 3* for 62.00. No luck. Added Princeton East and got Wyndham for 65.00. It's ok. I always wanted to try out this hotel, but probably should have started with two nights bidding. Yikes, just read the reviews, so I hope I will have a different experience.
  11. Started bidding for three nights 5/24/12-5/27/12 for 3 1/2* for 56.00, then added 3* for 58.00. Then bid for only one night for 60.00 and received Hyatt Regency.
  12. www.lastminutetravel.com offers the Astor on the park with 2 beds for 195.00 and a studio suite at the Beekman Tower for 259.00 for your dates. The suite hotel can be made "visible" by adding an activity when you proceed to booking.
  13. 2.5* Hartford (Southington) HI Express Southington for 45.00 fo rOctober 21-22, 2011. Had tried Waterbury and Southbury for up to 67.00 without success. First bid for 2.5* in Hartford (Southington) was accepted. Hotwire offered HI Express for 50.00, so I figured 45.00 would work.
  14. Ended up buying the Hyatt Regency Burlingame for 123.00 on LMT.
  15. Yes, it's available. The Hilton, including breakfast for 107.00 is still on request, but my request was denied. I usually look at Hotwire and then bid quite a bit lower, frequently with success.
  16. Any idea what's going on? I've been bidding for up to 2 weeks now, bidding up to 103.00, but no luck so far. The Hyatt is on LMT for 123.00, so would have expected to get it on PL for less.
  17. First tried San Mateo for 80.00. Then started a new search with Redwood City. Bid 79.00 for 4* first two nights; counter offer at 95.00. Used free rebid with Mountain View (no 4* hotel in zone) for 82.00. Offer was accepted. Then added one additional night for 82.00. Lowest price at the Sofitel site is 125.00 including breakfast for the first two nights, then 230.00 without breakfast. Not a super amazing deal but pretty good.
  18. Sorry, I didn't notice that the date was cut off. It's 8/17/11 to 8/18/11
  19. First bid for 3.5* hotel for Princeton West was 45.00; received a counter-offer at 58.00, but didn't accept it. Then added South Brunswick at 50.00, and finally Mount Holly at 54.00 for free re-bid (they don't have 3.5* hotels). I've stayed at the Hyatt before and really like it.
  20. Started bidding 4* Philadelphia Downtown for 80.00. Counteroffer at 100.00. Added zones that don't have 4*, first 85.00 and then 90.00. Best online rate is 145.00, so not an incredible deal but still good.
  21. Amenities for the Hyatt Regency Princeton Fitness Center Pool Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby (hotel is smoke free, but that didn't show up)
  22. 4* SFO-Burlingame-- Hyatt Regency, 3/24/11 First bid: 4* SFO-Burlingame, $65.00 --- rejected Counteroffer by Priceline: $85.00 Added: SFO-North zone: $75.00 accepted. I used the BB PRICELINE link. As a follow-up: When we arrived we were told that as requested we'd get a smoking room (uh NO!); we said that we didn't care about the room as long as it was NOT a smoking room. We were then upgraded to a really amazing two-room (non-smoking) suite. Nice touch.
  23. I ended up going with the following HOTWIRE deal: 4* Hyatt Regency Princeton, 6/26-6/29, 3 rooms for 71.00/night per room Lowest rate I could find is 179.00/night. I've stayed there before and like the hotel.
  24. Yes, I know. The strange thing is that I can't find a TA rated 2.5/5 that's in the area and a 3*-4* hotel.
