Just won a Priceline bid for the Wyndham Garden Hotel near the Philadelphia Airport. Used the PRICELINE link on this forum.
I was trying to get Center City-Mid Town or Penns Landing-Historic District, but the PA Home Show is this weekend at the convention center, so I couldn't get a good deal in either of those zones.

When I stayed at the Marriott last month, I parked in the AutoPark at the Gallery Mall @ 10th & Filbert. $19 for 24 hours. It's a 2 block walk from the Marriott.

I just found a nice map of all downtown Philadelphia hotels from the Convention Center's website. It includes the total number of rooms at each hotel.
FYI - In Scranton The Holiday Inn East (200 Tigue St, Dunmore) has changed to a Best Western. I know this because I am local, not because of Priceline. It changed about a month or 2 ago. I'm not sure how this will affect Priceline.

How were you able to increase the star rating between bids #3 and #4? Did you wait 24 hours or are you automatically able to increase the star rating when you add a new zone?
Just got the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown from 7/29-7/31 for $60/night.
I used the PRICELINE link on this forum and my first bid was accepted. I bid Philadelphia Downtown/3.5*/$60.
Hotel's standard rate is $189, so I am very happy.

if you can, make a stop at Tony Lukes for the Roast Pork Italian with broccoli rabe, its about a mile away, but well worth the trip and better than a cheesesteak.

a great deal....large rooms, manager's reception, free cooked to order breakfast. Parking is expensive though.
Just stayed there earlier this month. I think 3* is more appropriate, but it was still nice. The breakfast is a buffet, but they have a cooked to order omelette station. Breakfast was good, but the pancakes were premade and sitting in a pan.
It's a circular building. When you get off of the elevator on your floor, the direction of your room could be different every time, depending on which elevator you were on. This got a little confusing, but not a big deal because all of the room doors are close together.

I used BestParking too. But the traffic was SO BAD on Saturday in Center City because of the Auto Show, I parked at the first available garage. Luckily it was also the cheapest.
It was about 8 or 9 blocks from my hotel, but I took advantage of the "free" center city regional rail from Suburban Station to Market East.
Parking is a rip-off there, so I'll probably park a few blocks away at another garage.
I was in Philly this weekend and parked at the Autopark at the Gallery Mall (Garage, Self Park). It's $19 for up to 24 hours. You might want to check it out. It's at 10th St. and Filbert, which is only a few blocks from the Loews.
Congratulations. I've never stayed there, but I live in the same town as Nichols Village and have heard it's very nice.
Started with a $57 bid for 3.5* and got rejected.
Second bid was for $62 3* and got accepted at Embassy Suites.
Not bad for Auto Show weekend.

As far as I know, the Best Western Scranton East is no longer a Best Western. I don't think it has any national affiliation now. They had a plastic banner covering the Best Western sign when I drove by 2 weeks ago.
