great deal-Lisbon is small and very well connected by public transport.The subway is a little bit of a walk. Cab from the departure terminal of the airport are better for 2 or more people.

Started from $45-initially trying for 3.5 star but later lowered to 3* 1 night 7/24.Was hoping for residence inn but won Hilton garden inn $57(with taxes 70)-official rate $229 plus taxes It seems parking is 5 dollars extra which i have never had to pay in the tysons corner area hotels before There are 4 of us-hotel will give us two queen size beds for extra $4

Just came back from Lisbon.Hotel is quite decent,bed was listed as double but seemed bigger than a queen size.Bathroom was modern and good for holiday inns I have stayed before. Hotel is 10 minutes or so from downtown area but metro station Campo pequino is close.Lisbon is a small city and I did not find that a problem.Contrary to what has been mentioned there are a lot of places to eat closeby one just has to venture around.There is a coffee/cafetaria style restaurant as you exit to the left from hotel(we did eat but bought some cookies.muffins which were good).There is a good chinese buffet restaurant closeby(around 7 euro for lunch,10 for dinner). The metro station has atleast 7-8 decent restaurants and a supermarket.Be aware lot of the shops in that area donot take nonoportugese credit cards. Phone calls/internet are expensive in the hotel but hotel gift shop sells phone cards(and has a public phone )-5 euro card has about 300 min calling time to USA.Donot buy internet at the hotel-I walked to a public university(guided by hotel staff) 5 min away where I could use free internet.There are several internet cafes in town where one can use very cheap internet for an hour or more. Airport transportation to the hotel-if travelling alone can use Carris tour bus (3.50 euro per person -some hotels are right on the busstop but for Holiday inn it drops you at Campo Pequino metro station area which is a 5 min walk).If there are 2 or more people donot use the bus take a taxi(there were 2 of us-I would go to the departure area to get the taxi since there are reports of fleecing from arrival area).I stayed at two diff hotels in Lisbon(4 days at Holiday inn which was usually 7-8 euro to or from airport and Hotel Real parque which was 9 euro from airport). If I had to do it again I would not bid more than 70 dollars for this hotel (hotel real parque bought thru Expedia was around $ 110 dollars but had free internet and free breakfast buffet).Hope this is useful for people going to Lisbon in future .

Was hoping for hyatt place where we had stayed earlier but this one does not look too bad used the PRICELINE links to buy total w/taxes $103

Have been trying for the last 3 weeks Tyson`s corner area 3.5 * 6/7-6/8/11(weekday)-failed bids upto $80. Have stayed multiple times on the weekends for 50-55$(usually get Marriott Fairview Park). Any input for future bids in that area during the weekday would be helpful.

Attending conf Baltimore where > 10,000 people are expected to attend.This hotel has otherwise gone for less on the forum. 2 rooms Baltimore marriott waterfront $100 6/7-6/8/11 with taxes $239(regular price on hotel site for 2 room with taxes $690)

Rented thru Hertz priceline bid $25/day(8 days total with taxes $377) Hertz service was very slow but got a nice Suv Mazda cx9(7 seater) with Gps(was an extra even though I travel with one of mine) Return process was quick Lot of airport taxes-next time will rent from town(several location reimburse $20 dollar for cab)

great property,good location,used the concierge few times who was very personable and helpful

good property after recent renovation-allowed us to check in early(noon) great service,got free internet lots of restaurants closeby to choose from we needed to be on the road a lot-very close to I 40(big plus for us)

good hotel(got two queen beds and a room with a review by request) free internet but was slow( just a comment -not complaining since was not expecting free internet) service was very good

Unsuccesful priceline bids the last 2 weeks for 4 start resort in North Scottsdale/north Phoenix(unsuccessful bids to $120). Firesky fluctuated $137-230 range(other people seem to have gotten it for as low as $80 but no such luck) Ended up buying for $137(3 day total w/taxes $486) Used the HOTWIRE link to buy

have been trying since last few days working from $40 onwards-$52 a day total two nights with taxes $125

I still have time(since looking for 20-24th June)-currently I donot plan to bid more than 80 for a 4 star.

Upto $ 75 for a 4 star with no luck-anything over 72 dollars have been getting counter offers to raise bid by $20(at that price could get 4 star hotels from another site)

started bidding from $38 dollars yesterday -rejected (refused counter offers of $55) Today added more areas and increased bidding ammount till accepted at $44-total for 3 days with taxes $-159

Tried from 40-45 $ few days 3 star in Richmond Innsbrook area-kept on getting counteroffers for 55-60 dollars. Bid for $50with taxes $ 64 accepted. used the PRICELINE link

At that price I would be happy with either a 4 or 5 star

I have addressed your question rel to car rental in a separate thread. Goal in Lisbon is to get a good hotel at a decent price. Info rel to priceline wins in Lisbon seems limited(holiday inn within the last yr and Marriott some years back)
