  1. Amenities listed as: Free Parking Pet Friendly Smoke Free Rooms Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower 95% Recommended 4 out of 5 on TripAdvisor I was fairly certain this would be the Westin Galleria from the TA rating plus your excellent listings here. As advised I started my search from your quickquote boxes up above. Thanks so much for your assistance. Don't know if it will help others, but this has worked for me in the past...I've always stopped by a fancy grocery store [Whole Foods, etc.] before I get to the hotel. I buy a selection of pastries/snacks, along with about 5-6 Starbucks gift cards with $5-$7 on each of them. I hand these to the desk clerk when I sign in and tell them I appreciate what they do. Odds are they'll never see it coming. Later I'll broach the subject about an upgrade. It's worked 3 out of the last 4 Hotwire trips I've taken. Heck, Trivago and Hotels..com lists this same room for $187 a night. I'll gladly buy some eclairs and lattes for a chance at an upgrade.
  2. Amenities listed are as follows: Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access. But unless they bump the Crowne Plaza Suites across the highway another star rating or change the zone boundaries, the Westin is still the only known 4-star Hotwire-ranked hotel in that area.
  3. Booked through the HOTWIRE widget above the forum 1-12-12 I can pretty much confirm that currently this is the only hotel you'll get in that area with that star level, having won this hotel before on Hotwire. A few words of advice. It's located in the middle of a fairly large business park next to a large hospital campus. That means that outside of the Benihana next door and the hotel restaurant, your dining options are limited. I'd also recommend a car, but be aware of the covered parking rates [10-12 per night]. Free parking is available. And if you skip the linen service for a night, you'll get a $5 voucher. Makes their overpriced breakfast buffet a bit more viable.
  4. According to the email, it's a mid-size car [Corolla, Avenger as examples] 2-9-12 to 9-13-12 at Dallas Love Field for 16.95 a day.
  5. This might seem snarky, but how full is full? What I mean is, how far can you drive from the pump and still consider the tank to be full? Most airports have gas stations near them, but those are almost always more expensive. Does the needle have to be above the tick mark, or as long as it's touching some part of it?
  6. This requires some caveats, as I don't know if this is exclusive to either the airport or area, but I thought I would share anyway. When looking on Hotwire for a rental car, I put in my flight times, since chilling at the airport is oddly enough, not one of my all time favorite activities. I got results from 22-27 bucks a day depending on car size[Remember, it's Hotwire] On a whim, I decided to play around with the pick up and drop off times, wound up finding rates starting at 15 bucks. By bringing the car back only 2 hours earlier, I saved about 8 dollars a day. Why would that be? Is the demand to keep a car out a couple of hours enough to jack the rates that much? Again, I don't know if that would work in every situation. This was for Dallas-Love Field for next month. But if you aren't on an ironclad schedule, changing your times might save some cash. You can use that for a down payment on a Cinnabon at the airport food court.
  7. No problem, the amenities are the same as listed on the forum: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business
  8. Just wanted to report a correctly predicted hotel. However, it looks like Hotwire is combining names of zones. They sometimes combine Park Central and Park Cities in their listings. Also, the Downtown - Turtle Creek listed Westin now looks to be a Marriot, so I'm not sure if it still belongs in the listings.
