  1. I hope this is not against the board rules. I'd like to post some of the images I've taken of the hotel room. <i'll try to provide links to the photos in the near future when i have some extra time... but for multiple reasons, we don't allow hot linking > note in particular rust and mold in the bathroom, dirty washcloth (complete with a bunch of hair) left over from previous resident, and bodily fluid stains on bedding.
  2. Sorry, my bid was $35 for a total Priceline price of $47 or so. I've got quite a few really good hotels at anywhere from $35 to $50 (including real **** properties). This place is below par though, and a bit difficult to guard against. 0 stars would not describe it properly.
  3. Interesting addition - the girl at the counter asked me to sign an invoice, which was an actual Priceline invoice (with their credit card on file). Evidently, Priceline paid $28 + tax (total of $32) for that room. Not a big surprise, but definitely underscores that both "room rate" and "taxes and fees" as presented by Priceline are essentially bogus.
  4. As subject says. Ramada Inn Convention Center I-Drive - 2.5* (who assigns these?) What a dump this place is. It's places like these that make me wonder about wisdom of using Priceline. I have been using Priceline a lot recently, and it's been mostly ok. But this is something else. Did anyone ever complain and get money back due to really bad stay? Edit: looks like this hotel was reviewed here previously: http://www.betterbidding.com/show.php/act/ST/f/421/t/6432 Note that it was 2* at that time, but is 2.5* now. Priceline has upgraded it, evidently. Be *very* careful when booking in this area of Orlando.
  5. It sounds like Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel Miami Airport (which I had a misfortune to book through Expedia unpublished rates just yesterday). My booking was for end of february, $65 a night. Same amenities and area, and same star rating. If that's the place - it is a bug infested hellhole (I was there by accident a few months ago). I called Expedia and pleaded with them not to put me up there (I wouldnt have gone anyway, just wasting the reservation money - it's not worth being bitten). Surprisingly, they did cancel my reservation and promised a refund - which I very much appreciate.
