  1. Bid $67 bid automatically accepted. We won the Embassy Suites about a month ago in this same area. Can't believe they are both listed as 3.5 stars...not even close. But for $67 I'm not complaining too loudly...
  2. Wow! I feel like I hit the jackpot. After reviewing the hotel list once more, I felt more comfortable with 3.5*. I bid $61 on my first bid and it was accepted. Won the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista. Not only was this a great deal...the free breakfast will save my family of 4 about $20-30 a day!
  3. I'm ready to bid ;). I just want a zone close to Disney. I liked this zone when we went last time. My goal is the least expensive of 3* or better. Many thanks!
  4. Starting Bid $55 3 1/2 stars Frisco - Rejected Added Plano Bid $62 - Rejected Added McKinney Bid $70 - Accepted
  5. No more than $100. I won a 4* for $75 in the same area about 4 years ago....so I am figuring inflation and looking at other recent winning bids. Just don't want anything below 3*.
  6. Me and the family are getting ready for a trip to Disney June 29th-July 2nd. I was just getting a feel for what my total cost would be (including fees, taxes, etc.) and noticed a hotel fee. It's been awhile since I have used Priceline...is this something new? Bidding on 4* Downtown Disney area. Any suggestions for starting bid? Thanks in advance!
  7. Accepted on my first try :) 3.5 Denver Airport Area $55 Crowne Plaza
  8. Originally bid on 3* for $135 and was denied Added 2* option and won Wingate Inn by Wyndham for $135 I usually do more research but I was in a time crunch on this one, so I am not sure how much less they would have taken on the bid. The cheapest rate I could find for this hotel on my dates were $175 per night so at the very least I save $120 for the entire trip. The reviews for this hotel seems outstanding and includes free hot breakfast (which is an additional money saver...especially in Destin!)
  9. I currently bid $145 for a 4* on the strip. I received a message that if I increased my bid by $22 I could rebid. Any suggestions? **By the way, it is 5/17 NOT 5/27
  10. I had just noticed that @ $70 for a 4* seemed to be the going rate (some on weekends) I tried (before receiving your reply) a 3* at $70 and was also rejected. I don't mind going up to $100 for a 3* I was just trying to avoid the Sahara, but I know there aren't any guarantees
  11. Just made a bid of $70 on priceline for a 4* hotel on the strip and was denied...what should be my next step? Details: Check In ~ April 12 Check Out ~ April 15 Do not want to bid over $100
  12. Started out at 4* at $75 added other star levels 3* then 2.5* 75$ rejected added 3*~ 85$ rejected added 2.5* ~ 100$ rejected changed accounts 4*~ 125$ rejected added 3* or 2.5*~ 140$ accepted I was able to get # bids by addin star levels, and then later had a friend bid.
  13. We paid $75 per night at the Peabody via Priceline. Needless to say we weren't disappointed. The Peabody is by far the nicest hotel on I-Drive and in the best location. Our main interest during our stay was Universal, which was an easy drive. We didn't eat at any of the hotel restaurants...we made the short drive to the nearby McDonalds or Sizzler for breakfast, so that we could get to the parks sooner and tried many of the City Walk restaurants for dinner. Parking is free (except valet, of course) and the parking lot is very easily accessible to the hotel. Only downsides- they implemented a mandatory $7.00 nightly hotel fee which is "mandatory" for priceline users...the impression that I was left with is that it is optional for other guests, but not totally sure. But the 7.00 pays for itself...no parking fees, 2 bottled waters, internet access, free local and toll free calls are included for the 7.00. My husband was very disappointed with not having a coffee pot and having to pay a $10.00 fee to use the "workout facilities" On the last night there, they had a band that was playing at the House of Blues (I believe it was the band itself on our floor) they were very loud and disrespectful, however once security found out about it, they intervened....the officer actually pulled up a chair at the end of our hall to ensure peace and quiet for the rest of the night. All in all a nice hotel, I've stayed in better and worse. But then again, we feel that the hotel is not the destination...Priceline is really spoiling me :)
  14. LOL... The way I see it is they (my company) were willing to pay $79 for the Hampton Inn....This is a win-win for all We are planning on making the most of the proximity of the hotel to the Galleria(4 ladies!!) Watch out Macy's!!!
  15. Bid $55 for 4* Houston Galleria - was denied Prompted us to rebid for $15 more.... we did (since company was paying for it anyway) $70 - ACCEPTED (2 rooms @ 70.00 = 140.00) With fees and taxes 172.20 Total
  16. Your Offer Price: $75.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 4 Subtotal: $300.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $47.83 Total Charges: $347.83 First offer- Universal 70.00 4* rejected Added Kissimmee 75.00 4* accepted
  17. WOW, thanks for the info. I've used priceline many times and never thought about an issue with quad occupancy (just assuming that the other 2 were children). Thanks for the heads up! I was wanting to stay @ $100/nite (I could go to 115, if needed). I noticed many more options for resort hotels in the WDW area...I wouldn't mind staying there, if it wasn't too far. I'm pretty set on staying at a MCO hotel on 5/21. I am not a morning person, plus depending upon a shuttle to the airport, it will save me a day on my rental car.
  18. Trip details - leaving TX (5/18) 5:00 pm arriving in Orlando (5/19) about 1:oo am with my husband, nine year old, and one year old. Leaving Orlando 6:00 am Sunday (5/22) Our main interest during our stay is Universal I don't want to move hotels too many times so I think that we will go ahead and establish an hotel once we get there and stay for 3 nights. I would really like to get the Hyatt at the airport for May 21st so we will be close for our 6 am departure. Need bidding tips for resort or 4* (5/18-5/21) and MCO hotel (5/21 - 5/22) THANKS
  19. Once I purchased my airline tickets through priceline it prompted me to purchase a hotel. I noticed that there was a 4* category when I clicked on the Universal area. Any idea as to which hotel that is?
