I wonder how I was able to win these dates at $73, reading others' experiences. I originally failed for Apr 16 - Apr 22 for 3* and had to tick for 2 1/2 * which also failed. Then, after changing the dates (Apr 17 - Apr 22), I suddenly saw the "Congratulations..." message on screen. It happened only 10 minutes before I posted the original message. Hope this is of help to others.

First tried 3* at $73 for Apr 16 to Apr 22 (6 nights) but failed. For reference I checked the hotel web site rates, which were: Apr 16 $219 Apr 17 $239 Apr 18 $279 Apr 19 $299 Apr 20 $299 Apr 21 $279 As I knew from experience these rates do not tell me much except that rooms are available for these dates. So, I looked at the Hotwire rates: Apr 16 Hyatt not available Apr 17 $245 Apr 18 $245 Apr 19 $307 Apr 20 $307 Apr 21 $286 Here I figured that the single date (Apr 16) when the rooms are sold out for Hotwire is preventing me from winning the priceline rate. I was, then, able to book a room at the Hyatt for the original $73 for the 5 nights (Apr 17 - 22). I will figure out what I would do for the night of the Apr 16...
