  1. Thanks, but it was actually my brother who bid and won. He told me and I posted it here since he does not have an account. Hopefully the info will be of help.
  2. A week ago I bid $95 for a 4* in Copenhagen city 12/15/07-12/16/07. Bid was rejected so I tried $101, $106 and $111. All rejected. Reserved via http://www.kopenhamn.org/ instead.
  3. Bid $110 and got it at first try. Total came to $145. Good deal even though breakfast is probably not included. Have heard that some Priceline sleepers got breakfast there, and others did not.
  4. PM me the instructions and I'll help with Copenhagen.
  5. Bid for 2 rooms two nights, 12-14 April 2006. First tried to get a 5* hotel, bid $65-70-75 but no accept. Then tried 4*, bid $40-45-50, accepted at $50. Seems like an excellent deal :). Lowest price on hotel web site is
  6. Good deal. I was one of the two that got rooms for $77 at Sofitel, but I bid for January. May is a much more attractive month. So no wonder you had to go up a bit. Maybe you could have gotten it a little less, perhaps as low as $85, but I'd say $99 is a good price. No breakfast though... Hotels in Copenhagen are expensive, except for some hotels in the sleazy sex district behind the railwaystation. Much better than a few years ago, but still not good. Have a nice stay. It is a really nice time of year to visit.
  7. Hmmm, so maybe "based on recent data..." really reflects recent bids? I always thought that was a phony message. Seems as you are on to something here... But then again, whether a bid is accepted is also very dendent on the date you bid for. And I doubt that is taken into account in the "based on recent data..." info. Or???
  8. Thanks for posting your winning bid pnb!!! I had intended to bid $90 or $95, but tried $77 after reading your post. Accepted at first try. Maybe we could have got our rooms for less even??? Anyway, I am really happy with this price. Seems like a super deal! /Mats
  9. I checked Betterbidding before bidding and saw that someone got Sofitel for $77 so I figured I try that too. Accepted on first try. Thanks pnb for posting your succesful bid! It is low season now otherwise it would have cost much more. I bought two rooms: Your Offer Price: $77.00 Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $154.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $46.16 Total Charges: $200.16 According to their site the lowest price for that night is $253 per room, promotion deal, no breakfast included. We are bringing our 1 year old son, and the other couple their two kids - 4 and 7 years old. Checked with the hotel before bidding, no problem, no extra charge. Only tell them before arrival (we already e-mailed them) and they arrange a room that will extra bed or bedable sofa. It is only the 7 year old that need an own bed. Also checked if children would be an issue with Marriot. No problem there either. Hope this info is helpful to someone. Thanks!
  10. Thanks, yes I also think it is a super deal. My parent will surely enjoy the stay, even though they usually stay at much cheaper places. My mother was a little worried that she did not have a nice enough dress to wear... It is a pity that breakfast is so expensive there (
  11. Tried $100 first but no go. Got a counteroffer which i did not accept. I believe it was $118, sorry I do not remember exactly). Instead I raised to $105 and added South Bank (currently the only free rebid zone for 4* in London), which was accepted. Bought it for my parents. I am sure they will be happy with this although my mother said it was way to fancy for them. Could not find anything that was much cheaper, so I went with this. Seemed like the best value for money. It is not cheap to stay in London, anywhere.
