Thanks again to Better Bidding! I used the PRICELINE link from Better Bidding as follows: 1. I saw that someone in the past had gotten a 3.5 star hotel for $60, so I made my first bid at $59 in the OKC North area and was rejected. 2. I added Frontier City which didn't have a 3.5 hotel and bid $60 and was rejected again. 3. I added Will Rogers Airport area which didn't have a 3.5 hotel and bid $61 and was rejected again. 4. I added Crossroads area which didn't have a 3.5 hotel and bid $62 and was rejected again. 5. I added Quail Springs area which didn't have a 3.5 hotel and bid $63 and was rejected again. I took a day off, decided to shoot for the great 3 star deal near the airport and tried again this evening: 1. I saw that someone in the past had gotten a 3 star hotel for $38, so I made my first bid at $37 in the Will Rogers Airport area and was rejected. 2. I added Frontier City which didn't have a 3 hotel and bid $38 and my bid was accepted. First of all, I used the BetterBidding PRICELINE link to make my reservation. I made a next day reservation, so my bidding options were somewhat limited. I saw that a previous post here got a 2.5 star for $51 so I made the same bid, but was denied and offered to rebid at $66 by Priceline. I declined that and expanded the acceptable hotels to 2 stars and made a $45 bid that was accepted. Booked the hotel for a same day stay on Hotwire using the BetterBidding HOTWIRE link: Hotel Rate per night: $55.00 Nights: 1 Rooms: 1 Tax recovery charges & fees: $13.09 Subtotal: $68.09 Trip total: $68.09 This hotel features the following amenities: Complimentary Breakfast <amenity names only please... not descriptions> Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. High-speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply. Pool was closed due to cold weather. It is in a dome, but closed when the weather is extremely cold as it has been this week and last. Interesting thing about booking this hotel. I tried making a Priceline bid of $50 on first 3.0* and then again on 2.5* hotels and was denied. Checked Expedia and showed the Best Western Shadow Mountain with a 4.0/5.0 rating and a $72 rate. I had the flexibility of staying in either Durango or Pagosa Springs. Priceline didn't have any hotels in Pagosa Springs and Hotwire didn't have anything under $80. After getting the Hotwire price of $55 for one night, I decided to try booking two nights and maybe getting a better rate. Turned out that a two night stay was priced at $57 per night, so I guess I will be buying two one night stays.......... David M. Wilson Romans 8:28

At the PRICELINE website, I submitted an offer of $49 for a 3-star in the West-South and was rejected. Added the East area and my $51 3-star offer was accepted.
