  1. Hi everyone! I have not used priceline in over 10 years (used to be a heavy user), but gave it a go for a night while travelling as plans had changed at short notice. Saw this site is still up. Anyway - thanks guys! Brilliant Priceline Maps - awesome! Started low and added a very zones like we used to do many years back and it worked. 51USD + tax = 64.30. Rate includes breakfast if it helps anyone. $45, $47, $49 all failed. I got a counteroffer at $57 at one point.
  2. Hi, yes it looks as if it should be the Whitehall Hotel for 129$ + Tax /night.
  3. Hello Tried 85$ and 95$ at NMA and MP areas but both failed for a 4*. Any opinions here on how to take it from here? Easyclicktravel reports a 4* for 129 for the dates above. Might try a 3* on PCLN but was keener on a 4* although not really wanting to bid higher than 100$.
  4. Are extra-fees payable for stays at the british colonial? Has anyone any experience regarding how they treat Hilton Golds but booked via priceline?
  5. failed 65$ for 4*. Free rebid at 70$ was accepted. Total $172.19 for 2 nights.
  6. Thanks for the reply. I did this comparison on the opaque rate for a couple of hotels and [the differences I found] didn't seem to mirror in percentage terms the difference in the advertised rates. I was wondering whether some people here following the FL opaque rates closely were able to point to a ball figure of % variations between say feb/march and slow months such as August. BTW: Feel free to move it to another thread if it is OT here! :)
  7. Hi there Sorry for this being a touch OT. Going through the posts of the past year, it seems to me that the difference in accepted bids between peak (say Feb/March) and Off-peak (say July-August) is considerably less than the difference in percentage terms in their respective advertised rates. What I mean is that it seems to me that by querying some normal reservation systems I find nearly a 100% difference between Aug05 and Feb06 prices (the latter being the more expensive) while if I go back to the posts here for Feb05 they seem to be broadly in line with the prices being posted for Aug06 (perhaps a 10-20% increase). Is that something that the frequent observers of the PL Florida market can confirm or is this the wrong impression I got by looking at particularly non-representative hotels? Many thanks indeed. Reason I am asking is that I am doing some planning ahead for Feb/March06 so would like to have a ball figure on the average 3/4* prices per night.

  9. First bid - Possibly an overbid. Amsterdam Marriott Hotel 4* Your Offer Price: $85.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $85.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $13.88 Total Charges: $98.88
  10. Hi I am looking for a week to 10 days car rental in Mexico. Priceline will not cover it of course, and many companies do not allow drop-offs. Standard routes seem a bit expensive. Any hints?
  11. After fails up to 60$, bid 65$ and was accepted at the Renaissance Fallsview (4*). Possibly an overbid but hey, it was the last chance!
  12. Bid all the way to 60$ for 4* and 52$ for 3* - done on priceline.co.uk, currency conversion on xe.com. Do saturdays attract higher rates? :)
  13. First post - good job for the board. As above. Tried 26 Pounds and got free counteroffer for 33Pounds. Restarded added freebid Toronto East and got the above. One room one night (21 April)
