  1. I figured it was the Sheraton Gateway and it was. Happy with my find! Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby
  2. I can only find these amenities: Free Internet Amenities Airport shuttle Business center Fitness center Pet friendly Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Smoke-free rooms 90% recommended. 54% off price. Any idea what hotel this is? The "boutique hotel" is throwing me off. Thanks for your help!
  3. Cynthia, Did your get the room through HOTWIRE or PRICELINE? I'm looking at the same thing on Priceline for January.
  4. Neither of those hotels work for me but thanks for the tip regarding amenities. I figured there were more but didn't know how to access them. I did use the HOTWIRE link on this website but not bidding helper which I will use from now on.
  5. Here are the amenities: Business centerFitness centerGolf nearbyInternet accessPool(s)ResortRestaurant(s)Smoke-free rooms Four options on Hotwire include: Outrigger Reef, Hilton, Aston, and Hyatt Regency. Do you think it is the Hyatt? It doesn't say beachfront so I'm thinking that rules out the Outrigger and Hilton. 90% recommended. 5028 reviews on TA. Thanks for your help!
  6. I finally got fed up with PRICELINE. That property has been on their website for at least 10 days. I wonder if it was ever a legitimate property. Anyway, I used the $12 off on the $113/night on HOTWIRE which was the Hyatt. I was satisfied to book that room for $101. Of course $77 would have been much better but I was tired of dealing with Priceline. Oh, another funny thing that I have never seen before on Hotwire--once I clicked on the property there was a statement that the last person that booked that room ended up with the Hyatt. I have never seen that before. Thanks again for your help! Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  7. Thank you so much for your help. I decided to book a unit at Waikiki Shores directly with the owner. This works out well for me. Good price and location. I've thought about staying there before and decided to give it a try. You can close this thread now. Mary
  8. All good suggestions. I did notice this property is only listed on the "easy view" and not the other HOTWIRE tab.
  9. Oh, gosh, this is a tough one. Usually I have a much better feel for it. Also, I don't usually book this far ahead. In your experience are prices higher 6 months in advance or should I bide my time? I realize you might not have an answer to that question but you see this stuff all the time so I thought you might have an idea.
  10. I, as well, thought the $221 4 start might be the Sheraton Waikiki which I would book. Two things are holding me back. There are only 4 Hotwire reviews which I find odd since I've booked this property a couple of times in the past so there should be lots of reviews. Does Hotwire pull hotels off their site and when they put them back on start all over with reviews? The reviews on TA seem to fit. The other concern I have is the resort fee. The resort fee for the Sheraton is $34.55 and the resort fee on Hotwire is $31.41. Any more thoughts on this property? My top two choices are the Sheraton Waikiki or the Surfrider. As for Priceline I am getting a bit frustrated with them although I keep checking the site. I've tried to book two hotels on the site and it lets me get all the way through the booking process before I'm informed the hotel is no longer available. One of the properties is still up on their site and it has been over a week. I also find it a little harder to determine which hotel on their site but that is probably because I don't use it as much. I've decided I'm not interested in the 5star if it is Trump Tower. Thanks again for your help. Very much appreciated.
  11. My guess for the 5 star is the Trump tower because it is pet friendly.
  12. I'm also curious about this one although it's not on the water. $241 5 star, 90% recommended (11 hotwire reviews), TA 2,625 reviews 4.5. This is a little more than I want to pay but would consider for the right property. Here are the amenities: Free Internet, Resort, Pet friendly, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Children's activities, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  13. Any idea what hotel this one might be: $221. 75% recommended (4 hotwire reviews). TripAdvisor: 4 out of 5.0 Rating from 5,890+ reviews Amenities: Free Internet, Resort, Beachfront hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Children's activities Thanks!
  14. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it some thought. Not super excited about that hotel but I'll read the latest reviews and see if that changes anything. I'll also do more checking and let you know if I come up with something. Thanks!
  15. Not if it is the Hyatt which is across the road from the beach and doesn't have private beachfront. I assumed "oceanfront" meant directly on the water. I am looking for one of the few direct oceanfront properties in Waikiki Beach and would like to find something up to $200 per night if possible. I realize this might be hard to come by but once in awhile it does. I've stayed at the Sheraton a few times and even though it is super busy I like being on the water. I've always booked the Sheraton through Hotwire with some very good deals. I would consider paying more for the right property. I'm certainly open to ideas but having direct frontage is a must for me. Thanks!
  16. I'm thinking "pet friendly" might be a clue. The three hotels I was thinking it might be don't allow pets. I'll be interested to see what you come up with. Thanks again.
  17. Also, when I click on this property it says "new to Hotwire". There are only 27 reviews. Does this help?
  18. 90% recommended. The full amenities are: Free Internet, Resort, Pet friendly, Oceanfront hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Children's activities, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower I am looking for oceanfront and this is one of two that are currently listed. Thanks for your help!
  19. I've tried a couple more times to book the room on Priceline. Each time I get completely through the booking process including credit card details. I even get a confirmation from my credit card company. Then when it processes I get the message that the room is no longer available. Very frustrating. I've never had this problem with Hotwire. I can understand if the room isn't available but they should either take it off the site or let me know at the beginning of the booking process. I will keep my eye on both Hotwire and Priceline and let you know where I end up. Thanks again for your help.
  20. I finally got to the booking page using your link but as soon as I started to fill in the information I received the same statement that it is no longer available. I tried going in new again and it still shows this property but I can't book it. It still shows as an active property. I even tried another browser thinking that might be the problem but it didn't help.
  21. I will add that I find it a little irritating that they keep showing this deal as active until I click on it.....
  22. I was able to click on it but then it brought the page back up with the statement above. I was pretty excited about that one. I'm actually on my way to New Zealand via Hawaii so this is just a small part of my journey. Once I finish up my other connecting flights I will start another thread regarding Hawaii. It's interesting because I found HIlton rates for $111 when I searched earlier with the ability to cancel. I'm going to keep working on this since I have lots of time but now I realize I should be checking Priceline as well. I'm thinking rates will go up as it gets closer to December because of the holidays. I do want to get this part of my itinerary firmed up soon. Those Hotwire deals didn't seem so good after the Priceline deal :).
  23. I'm not as familiar with Priceline although I have used them before. I found this property on their link and when I choose it I get this message: "Pricing and inventory changes often and the deal you selected is no longer available. However, we still have the following deals below." And it lists properties including this one. So I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if the deal is really gone but still showing on the website. Any ideas?
  24. FYI, I'm leaning toward the $90/night hotel since I will be there such a short time. Depending on what your thoughts are on which hotel it might be.
