Thanks, thereuare. Just want people to be aware of, I read some luckwarm reviews on this hotel from tripadvisor. Well, at least I didn't pay the rack rate. I will surely post my experience after the trip.

A bit surprised that I got it in my 1st bid for $30 around 7/4. Wondering how low it could go, probably not by much. Anyway, a good deal. Going to Smonkey Mtn, then stay Knoxville overnight to check out Neyland Stadium and UT campus.

Thanks for the tip, AaronJB. I will try that. If I upgrade, am I still considered a 2nd class guess who booked thru hotwire, or I can enjoy "early" check-in and such. The reason I ask is that last week, I stayed at JW Marriott at Penn Avenue in DC; I had to wait well past check-in time to get my room even though many others got their keys quickly. I suspect that's the price I had to pay by booking through priceline; I even overbidded by $8. Well, Marriott didn't get to pocket it, priceline did :)
