  1. 2.5* Basking Ridge $42 rejected ... There is only one Courtyard by Marriott in this area, min $37 ...
  2. Trying to get 2.5* Courtyard by Marriott (min $32 and not able to get it for a while), but got this 3* Marriott at $39 which is good too, on the same Davidson Ave...
  3. Trying to get AmeriSuites at Mt Laural, normally $33 but try to avoid Ramada Plaza (min $35), but got this one, seems to be new one... The other one is Summerfield Suites, which is great with min $38 ...
  4. 2.5* Basking Ridge $47 failed 4/23/05... There is only one 2.5* which is Courtyard Basking Ridge and I normally able to get it for $37, never an exception ...
  5. 2.5* Basking Ridge $45 failed 4/22/05... There is only one 2.5* which is Courtyard Basking Ridge and I normally able to get it for $37, never an exception ...
  6. 2.5* Somerset - Bridgewater $52 on 4/22 Fri failed... This is rather strange, but I am not going to try 2* or it will hit 2* Days Inn [unfortunately, I got this one once by accident ...] "We're sorry, but we couldn't find a hotel willing to accept your offer of $52 for a hotel room in the Somerset - Brunswick, NJ area. Your credit card has not been charged for Request Number"
  7. 3* Somerset - Bridgewater $50 failed on 4/22 Fri. I used to be able to get Bridgewater Marriott at $47 ... "We're sorry, but we couldn't find a hotel willing to accept your offer of $50 for a hotel room in the Somerset - Brunswick, NJ area. Your credit card has not been charged for Request Number..."
  8. Ooops! You are right; no wonder I kept on being rejected on 2.5* Mystic... As far as Mt Laural NJ 2.5* goes, I either got AmeriSuites at $33 or I did not. Why? Because there is a Ramada Inn [ok, I stayed there ...] that will take $35 min, so even if I willing to bid more for AmeriSuites, I was afraid of hitting that Ramada. Otherwise, at $38 you may hit Summerfield Suites which is terrific!!! But you have to bid just one day in advance on this one. It's tricky and seldom occured. So, if AmeriSuites ever raised its min [remember, it is under Hyatt now... yes, the same Hyatt does not give you $37 for Jersey City], then you would better to make sure Ramada Inn sold out before bidding Mt Laurel 2.5* ...
  9. 2.5* and above $45 glabal bid on Princeton - Trenton area, rejected!!! Very unusual ... But glad to see Summerfieds Suites Whippany only $67!!!! Was $202 over the past weekdays !!!
  10. 2.5* (Somerset - Brunswick, NJ) rejected Just did a global bid $47 on 2.5* and above on 4/15; rejected. "We're sorry, but we couldn't find a hotel willing to accept your offer of $47 for a hotel room in the Somerset - Brunswick, NJ area. Your credit card has not been charged for Request..." This is very unusual!!! especially, the Couryard website shows $69 a night at Somerset ...etc. Any idea why? I often got $32 for Couryard Somerset or Edison Hilton Garden Inn or $35 for Clarian Edison for 2.5* bid, the worst I got $37 for Lebanon Courtyard, but now I bid up $10 extra but got none!!!
  11. 2.5* Basking Ridge $45 failed 4/15/05... There is only one 2.5* which is Courtyard Basking Ridge and I normally able to get it for $37, never an exception ... what's wrong with it?!!!!
  12. From Hyatt Jersey City to Summit Grand Summit Hotel is not that far; I am sure you can take the hotel bus over ... or just Taxi ... It is a great hotel ...
  13. "We're sorry, but we couldn't find a hotel willing to accept your offer of $45 for a hotel room in the Mahwah, NJ - Nanuet, NY area. Your credit card has not been charged for Request..." This is also very odd that I checked all three area and bid on $45. I normally was able to get either Hilton Woodcliff Lake ($44) or Marriott Park Ridge($45), and recently I even got Sheraton Mahwah($45) ...
  14. Very true, and it happened to me when I was trying to bid on Bridgewater, NJ for the brand new Marriott(3*) but knowing nothing other than that hotel ... After it worked for a long while, one day I got hit by this newly joined Days Inn(2*), unbelieverably rediculous that even charge each kid extra $10 !!!!
  15. I bid globally [check all 3 area] at Princeton - Trenton, NJ area for 2* and up but failed for $44 ... this is very rare, given the fact there are som many hotels in the area ... "We're sorry, but we couldn't find a hotel willing to accept your offer of $44 for a hotel room in the Trenton - Princeton, NJ area. Your credit card has not been charged for Request ..."
  16. 2.5* (Somerset - Brunswick, NJ) rejected Just did a global bid $43 on 2.5* and above on 4/16; rejected.
  17. I think it was not a mistake; it was just that the new hotel Grand Summit Hotel was recently added. I have been bidding for the area for over a year from any combination of $45 to over $100 and never got anything. Whenever there is a new hotel added in an area by Priceline, someone got to be the first one got it !!! In any case, this is great hotel, and I have been there. Also, bring your Entertainment Book, this hotel has a nice restaurant accept the coupon so you can save both on hotel and dinner ...
  18. I think you were talking about this posting. Springhill Suites is 2* and Summerfield Suites is 2.5*, and as I said Springhill 2* min $35 [free Internet access] and Summerfield min $45 [$10 high speed Internet access] ... either one is great at their price ...
  19. There is only one 2.5* hotel that i know of at this area, and I often got it at $37 until one day I got upgraded to 3* hotel at Holiday Inn Select which has a great indoor swimming pool .... It is right off I-78-E good for people heading NYC on the way from PA, OH ...etc. It is rather new and nice, better than many Courtyard in NJ.
  20. I ofthen got this hotel at this price; it may sounds low but it is a great hotel. When I was lucky, I got a room can see Washington Monument from my window, and remember do NOT tell them you have a car, or they will charge you $8 parking fee. In fact, with your guest room key, you can always park you car at the parking deck ... I guess they just want to make PL guest pay extra... $34 is minumum I got, I never got lower than this, and I did global bid on all Washington DC area 3*... This is my favorite first stop heading down to FL ...
  21. I am always wondering why people willing to pay more to stay at Days Inn??? If you bid lower, then you would never got Days Inn. Once you got Days Inn, it's the start of the nightmare. For family like us, each kid they would ask for another $10, so ... Maybe this Days Inn an exception?
