  1. Greatly appreciate your input. Do you think buying a package hotel+car would be cheaper, more expensive or roughly the same than bidding for a hotel and car separately? Or maybe, buying a flight+hotel+car or flight+hotel, then bidding for car?
  2. Given it's my first time there, I'd rather avoid public transport as I can be on a time constraint the first few days am there. However later through my stay that is surely something to consider. To be honest, since my stay is going to be over 7 days, I'd want to look at the $50-$60 range per night, preferably tax inclusive, if possible. I'd also be looking at a 3*. The zones you mentioned that require a drive, how long of a drive would I be looking at, with traffic? Lastly, parking prices, are they similar to Chicago or on the cheaper end?
  3. Done. :) As of now, it'll most likely be from 5th Sep till 16th Sep. I'm not familiar with the UCLA area at all. Never been. So I'm relying with whatever help I can get.I did realize however, the close to UCLA, the higher the price. Also, just like I mentioned, I will also be renting a car, so maybe i'm better off to drive there. ideas?
  4. I will need a hotel within the vicinity of UCLA preferably between 3* - 4*. I will be staying there for a minimum of a week starting 5th September. What would be my best option and how should I go about it? Also what price would I be looking at per night? Would it better if I choose a hotel 20 minutes away from UCLA, as it would be considerably cheaper? Lastly, did anyone ever try Name your Own Price when it comes to cars? Recommendable?
  5. I am trying to bid for the Marriott at the Renaissance Center hotel in downtown Detroit sometime either 29,30 or 31 July. I've been looking at the 4* downtown Detroit bids and most seem to go to the Westin Book Cadillac @ no less than $100. There doesn't seem to any wins for the Marriott hotel since January of this year. And there doesn't seem to be any on Hotwire. The only thing I realized which may help is all the Marriott bids are less than $95 for the most part. Any ideas?
  6. Started @ $60 and made my way up to $71 through rebid zones. Coming to a total of $337.52 for the 4 nights including tax. Been here a few times. I like it. Only problem I always encountered was the parking. Anyone has any thoughts on that? When I came here once before, I parked at the millennium parking right across for $30 for 24 hours. There are some morning specials, but I don't do well with entering and exiting on specific times, let alone won't be using the car. Anyone know of anything cheaper? thanks
  7. are you sure you chose "4* Chicago (NMA-River North)" for this Hyatt property. I've been multiple times here and it's always when choosing "4* Chicago (Millennium Park-Loop-Grant Park) Hyatt". The same goes for other users on this forum. Please confirm. thanks.

  13. $50 + tax. 22 dec. for 2 nights. Wondering if this is considered a great deal or just an OK deal, given the hotel location, name and dates.
