  1. I am sorry. Thought i mentioned the month. It's for june. So basically starting today. Santa Monica is fine,
  2. Hi AaronJB - My max budget would be maybe $220 per night. In terms of zones anywhere at Century city, Beverly hills, West Hollywood and possibly Santa Monic.
  3. I want 2 rooms for 5 nights in LA from 11th - 16th in a 4 or 5* hotel. I did a quick search on hotwire and pricline using betterbidding.com but prices seem to be higher than expected. I am looking to stay around the UCLA area (i.e. beverly hills, century city, etc). I am getting an average total price of around $2.7K. Any idea how to get a better deal? Thanks in advance.
  4. I got the Intercon for $117.41 including tax. Aaron, since I received IC at Chicago, what do you recommend I should do in terms of rooms? Should I call in advance? If so, what should I inform them?
  5. Thank you Aaron for this very useful information. I am not really looking for anything specific per se in terms of hotel. I just want a nice hotel (and not bad location) with a nice room and possibly a nice view too such as the Hyatt Regency next to Wacker (having a view looking at the river) which I stayed at prior. I wouldn't mind it again, and don't mind trying something new either. Location wise I think IC beats them all. Don't you think?
  6. Hello I want to book a hotel in Chicago with the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals on May 25th - 26th (1 night) Here is the ameninties of what I am interested in. 4* hotel (Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area Hotel) Ameninities: Restaurant, Fitness Center, Free Internet, Business Center Rating: 9+ 4.5* hotel (North Michigan Ave - River North Area Hotel) Amenitites: Indoor/Outdoor pool, Pets, Restaurant, Fitness center, Business Center I can't seem to find what the 4* is on he list available on the website. Any ideas? The 4.5* hotel seems to be Intercon or Omni hotel. Is that right? Any ideas? Thanks
  7. hello I'm looking to stay in the JW Marriott in Cairo, Egypt during New Years. Now I've looked at other posts and there doesn't seem to be much on Cairo. I checked with priceline and it gave me a few 5* but it's unlikely that I'd be getting the JW Marriott as that is what j specifically want. That being said, what the best way to get a discount for this? Does Priceline or any other hotel website have any discount that can be used? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  8. $1035.05 including taxes and 7% discount from Administrator "thereuare". Thanks.
  9. Ok, so I did a search for Oct 30 - Nov. 1. I am trying to close down Hyatt Regency. I looked into the 4* Priceline hotel list, Hyatt Regency comes with Business center and fitness center, which is the same thing I am getting in the Priceline Express deal. Is it possible to get another hotel which is not featured on the hotel list? Thoughts?
  10. Like the idea of splitting. Would actually make more sense to me I'll do October 30-1november at 4* NMA or loop, and 1-2 November Somewhere around ORD as I have morning flight on the 2nd November. I'll do that and post my results.
  11. North Michigan av - river north and millennium park, loop and grant park
  12. Wow. Makes sense now. What conferences are they? I am looking at the downtown chicago area I.e. North michagin av area or little further down. And want it to be a 4 star property. The cheapest though is $162 per night. I was looking more in the 120-130 range.
  13. Ended up using a friend's car while he was away.
  14. Hi all, Trying to book a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal on priceline in Chicago from 30th Oct - 2nd Nov. The prices on those dates are on the high side for some reason. Is anything going on that time? For instance when booking a week later, prices drop remarkably. Any ideas why? Also, any promo code available? Thanks in advance.
  15. I want to rent a car at LAX from 6th Sep. - 16th Sep. Tried priceline (and had a $35 coupon) for Full size at $13.5/day (as Hotwire had it for 13.95/day). But it rejected me. I did state I am between 21-24 years as I turn 25 in the beginning of November. However, when trying book it at Hotwire, it doesn't mention anything about the underage fee. 1. Do LAX car rentals have under age fees? (Is that why priceline rejected it, as I didn't include the fee in my calculation?) 2. If I do put 25 years of age, are car rentals in general strict on their 25 year policy even though I'm 2 month away? 3. Should I just go with hotwire if priceline doesn't work since it doesn't seem to mentiong any fees?
  16. I was reading reviews about The 2.5* Best Western Carriage Inn in Sherman Oaks, and it's not too bad in terms of distance or accomodation. Any strategy that I should follow?
  17. Just tried bidding using rebid zoned 6 Sep - 10 Sep up to $65. No luck. and 6 Sep - 12 Sep up to $78. Still no luck Any ideas?
  18. So I decided to stay at Culver City as it would be way cheaper than the UCLA/Century city area and not much of a drive to UCLA. However, I just tried Hotwire for 6th Sep - 15th Sep just to see what I would be up against roughly when trying to bid on Priceline. There seems to be only a 2* (for $85/night) on hotwire, couldn't find any 3*, which is weird as I was able to find a 3* hotel through hotwire (with the name showing) for less. Does that go the same with Priceline, so basically it would be pointless trying to bid on that area? If that is the case, what other area should I be looking for which isn't too far from UCLA yet $50-$60/night range hotel.
