I'm new to this board, but have been on others for a while. I've never seen the Venetian go for less than $99/night. That being said, your dates are part of their suite special $149 rate, so you should be successful at $99/night for your dates.

They are correct, the Venetian ONLY has rooms for $99, when they offer their Suitest Special $149 rate. Check the calendar, and choose the special nights. Are you bidding blindly for the Venetian? For those dates their rates are: Thur $259.00, Fri $549.00, Sat $899.00. There's no chance that your bid would be accepted anywhere close to $100 for Thursday night. If you understand 'free rebidding' you can rebid before the 72hrs is over. Vegas should have more than a few areas without 5* locations.

You can always increase your bid following a counteroffer. Your stay includes Friday and Saturday nights, which are more expensive than Sun - Thurs. I'd suggest trying somewhere between the $120 and $140, and they hopefully should accept for all 3 nights. Or split your stay and bid $99 for Thursday at the Venetian, and a higher amount for Fri & Sat nights or stay somewhere else those nights less than $100. At least you'd get 1 night in the 5* Venetian.

For those dates, you should be able to get the 5* Venetian for $99 per night on Priceline. Any colored "suitest special rate" nights at $149/night on their website are the nights they accept $99/night on priceline.
