I bid up to $130 both for apr 16-19 and for apr 16-18 since i saw that it was the last night that was so expensive. My friend and i dont mind if we have to move to a lower rated hotel for the last night.

This vegas trip is definitely on, I already have the plane ticket.

I ended up not doing anything during those free weekends I had.

Okay I know I said in my last post that i would do this on my own but I need help. I have a room reserved (cancellable) at the Bellagio apr 16-19, $169 per night, total price $553. Been trying to bid to get the Venetian at the $99 rate for that time. Tried apr 16-19, that didnt work Tried apr 16-18, that didnt work either, even though the rate on the site for that period is $169 a night. Is it because I am bidding too early. I know that the $169 is a helluva rate but I want to be cheap.

Well I have some really flaky friends and family so this trip is off for these dates also. I am trying to get some new dates in place. I am thinking it will be april 16 - 19th but I am not going to waste anyone else's time on this board. I am just going to use the savingsbarn link and bid for those dates. Thanks as always

I would like to get some bid help for Mar 19-22 which is a Sunday thru Wed. The Bellagio has it listed for $179 for those dates. Do you think i should try the $99 bid for that time period? thanks shelleyanne

i dont have any confirmed plans... i am on vacation from school for the next three weekends so i was thinking about staying in a hotel just for the weekend.

i decided to stay with a friend because i paid so much for my us open tickets but i do need a hotel for my aunt and uncle from aug 29 through sept 5th. i have been looking everywhere and the prices are just ridiculous. i am not quite sure what they are willing to pay so i am still waiting to hear from them about their plans. i will post on this thread and soon as i know what their definite budget is. my uncle wants to stay somewhere where he can get an easy train to the us open and my aunt wants somewhere where she can get to long island quickly. thanks for any help you can give me. shellzee1

my plans for vegas arent going very well. i cannot find anyone to go with me. all my friends live out of state so we cannot coordinate. my cousin and i are graduating in dec and we were trying to see if my whole family could go for the weekend before we go back to jamaica. i probably wont coordinate that until later in the year though. unless something comes up unexpectedly i wont be doing vegas until then. thanks for the help shelleyanne

does anyone know anything about the hotel at mandalay bay. it looks like it is a 5* from what i see on Travelocity. it is in the same price range as the venetian and the bellagio. is it just as nice and is it centrally located. thanks shelleyanne

unfortunately this trip was cancelled so I didnt get to use all my tricks to get a room. i did try to get a room for one night in vegas for last sunday may 1st and i bid up to $160 in the rebid but it still didnt work. it was a really last minute thing because i went to see my friend in cali and she said we could drive up there. we did that and just stayed for 5 hours and drove back sunday night. i went in the venetian and the bellagio and i wasn overwhelmed so now we are planning to definitely go back there in either october for our birthdays or thanksgiving weekend. i already went ahead and started a new thread for those weekends in priceline-nevada. i have been looking on hotwire and priceline for package deals but the airfare is just ridiculous which i think is driving up those prices. hopefully i can use your link and tricks for my upcoming trips. thanks again for the help.

do you think a weekend in october or thanksgiving weekend (thurs - sat) would be cheaper at the venetian. i have checked the convention calendar and i dont see anything to big going on during those times. i was in vegas for 5 hours on sunday and i had a blast. came back with all of my money and some of the venetian's too!!! again i just have to say, I LOVE THIS SITE!!!!

I am trying to find a nice hotel for fri and sat night so I can go to the US Open and not have a too long train ride. Do you think I could get something for $150/night that is nice and safe. Thanks for your help as usual. As a side note, is Vegas cheaper in October or November?

i got together with the people that i was supposed to go with and they are undecided about everything. now it will probably be only two of us going. i am going to split the bid and try up to $300 for sat. night and then $120 for sunday night. if that doesnt work i will look into the monte carlo first for sat night and then the renaissance since i want to stay on the strip. you guys are so awesome. i really appreciate all the help. the time is getting closer so i will let you know how it goes. thanks again for all your help.
