  1. I'm sorry, I didn't realize I left this thread open. Our plans changed so we did not book a room in Hoover.
  2. We are planning a trip to London October 8-12 and I found a deal on Hotwire for a 5 star Westminster area hotel for $176(reg($459). Amenities listed are: Free Internet (<amenity names only please... not descriptions>) Smoke Free Rooms Restaurant(s) Laundry Facilities (self-service) Any ideas which hotel this is? I was thinking Hotel 41 maybe, but there is also another hotel in the same area for $236 listed as a condo. I have no idea which one that could be either, however, that is above our budget. I originally planned to bid on PL for a 4 star hotel(most wins I found for the area are around $100), but the $176 price for a 5 star has me re-thinking it. Especially if it turns out to be the Hotel 41. Is that a typical price for this area or do I need to jump on it quickly? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
  3. Hi, I'm looking at Priceline in the Express Deals and found a 2.5 star in Hoover AL. I didn't see it listed in the Hotel List. Hotel features free bfast, free Internet and parking, indoor/outdoor pool, business and fitness center. The rate is $45 and we will be staying tonight for 1 night. My best guess is the Hampton Suites because of the free breakfast. Are there any other possibilities? Any help is appreciated!
  4. I am trying to find out what hotel Hotwire is offering. 2 1/2 stars. The amenities are: Breakfast Fitness Center Pool High Speed Internet From what I am seeing, none of the hotels have all of these. I'm wondering if it's the Clairon at a 3 star? We don't want to stay at Baymont and I think there is a chance that's what it is as well. Any ideas?? Is there a good bidding strategy for Priceline in a smallish town? There is only 1 area to choose from and we'd really like the Embassy Suites. Thanks!
  5. I was hoping for 3* in my desired area. A 2 star might be ok I just don't know what hotels fall in this category. 3* is the highest level in Hoover, but if I add Inverness I can choose 3 1/2* and up. Also, I think Homewood is out unless there's a way to guarantee of a certain area in Homewood. My husband is from there and he is concerened about some parts of Homewood. We are going for his sister's wedding so staying in Hoover is pretty important. I saw on Priceline's page a recent winning bid for a 3* in Hoover was $56. Would you say this a reasonable expectation? Thanks again!
  6. I am new to this board and would like some help on getting a hotel in Hoover, AL. My travel dates are check in 10/29 check out 10/31. My ideal is Hoover but am ok with Homewood. Inverness would be my next choice with Pelham as a last resort. Our limit is $75 a night but hope to find one much cheaper. Any suggestions on bidding strategies is welcome. Any ideas on typical hotels in this area through Priceline? Thanks for your help!
