Hi, Thought I'd give an update. I've tried priceline today to book a hotel in Milan. Used the BB PRICELINE link. I was trying for a 5* initially in the Northeast area. Started bidding from $100 and went up to $120. No success. Then I tried a 4* in Duomo area. Started at $80 and went up to $95. No success. Reluctant to go for a 4* in the Northeast area as I can book the Ibis for a good deal.

I was looking for a stopover hotel on my way to Europe for June 2014. Had a look on hotwire and found 5* Deira - Dubai Airport area for $71 Plus $24.31 tax. Used BB link to HOTWIRE. Free Parking, Pools, Internet access, Tennis Nearby Ended up with Al Ghurair Rayhaan by Rotana. Rated 4 1/2 on tripadvisor with good reviews. A dry hotel so no bars or clubs in the hotel which is reassuring for a solo female traveller. Not huge saving price wise. I did get the msg "Book soon! The last person got the Al Ghurair Rayhaan By Rotana" so wasn't surprised when I got this hotel.

Hi, Can you also help me with this 4* hotel in Milan in the Duomo area for $157 per night (this was for 2 people) staying 28 June to 3 July? Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Self Service Laundry, Internet access I thought it might be the UNA Hotel Cusani but that might be wishful thinking :) Thanks

Navona - Pantheon - Sant'Angelo $144 - Free Breakfast, Business Centre, Self Service Laundry, Internet access. I do get a msg that says "Book soon! The last person got the Nazionale Hotel & Conference Center". Does this mean this is that hotel? Trevi - Spanish Steps $139 - Free Internet, Self Service Laundry,Internet access. I get a msg saying "Book soon! The last person got the Eurostars International Palace." Thanks for your help.

Happy with what I got. Thanks for your help. In the end decided not to bid on PRICELINE. We collective wanted to stay a particular hotel based on location and contacted the hotel direct. It was Mandarin Orchard and it is the best location for shoppers. They had a weekend special that we were able to use and booked direct.

I am looking at bidding for 3 rooms in Singapore from 25 Nov to 28 Nov. I would really like to stay in the Orchard Rd area (5*) but don't want the Goodwood Park hotel to come. When I search on priceline for a hotel (the normal hotel booking area) Goodwood Park Hotel comes up as a 4* but I've seen in the previous winning bids it was classified as a 5*. Has it been re-classified? Does this mean that if I bid for a 5* hotel, it's not likely to come up?

Game plan is to stick to my max amount $150 and continue to bid over the next 4 weeks. Hoping for a lower prices but not likely. I tried a few diferrent dates with the Concorde La Fayette and Le Meridien Etoile which are hotels that come up on priceline bids in my choosen area of Champs Elysee. They have rates to end of May of 180 Euros and then the rates jump to 290+ Euros for my dates. I do have a back up 3* hotel booked at 150 Euros that gets some decent reviews. So the idea behind trying for a PRICELINE hotel is to try to save at least $200 overall.

The other area I initially thought of was St Germain-Latin Quarter-Montparnasse but researching the winning bid hotel decided not to bid in that zone. Too far from the centre. I tried $120 and used the link from your post.

Hi, I bid $110 in the Champs Elysees - Opera Quarter West zone. I don't think I have any free re-bids for a 4*? And yes I am willing to go up to $140. Any strategies? Thanks

Thank you. I had a look at HOTWIRE. In the North of Champs, South of Champs and Louvre Marais areas. No 4* hotels came up. 5* hotel at $471 is too much for me. Tried to bid $110 on PRICELINE with no success. I used your link.

Hello, Thought I might give bidding a try. Looking at 4* in the Champs Elysees - Opera Quarter West area. Budget is around $140. Date 12 - 16 June. One issue - I am travelling with a friend and definitely need a room with twin beds. Is this normally an issue in Paris hotel rooms? Any suggestions on a bidding strategy please? Thanks!

Hi, I wanted to bid for a hotel in Paris. In my research I came across something about a new Holiday Inn in the Latin Quarter area Holiday Inn Notre Dame. It looks great and I would love to win this hotel. But as we all know priceline can be a bit hit and miss in Paris. What are my chances of getting this hotel if I bid for a 3* in St Germain-Latin Quarter-Montparnasse zone? Would I have more success on Hotwire? My travel dates are 12 June to 16 June. The Hilton is showing up at $239 and the Conrad at $262. I have had a successful bid with priceline and got the Conrad for $85 earlier this year so I was hoping for something similar. Will go up to $105 otherwise will book with stopover rate with airline.
