  1. It's obvious that the economy is still hurting because HOW can these prices be offered? I bid $65 for the above dates and my bid was accepted. Total for all three nights plus $39.54 in Priceline fees is $234.54. The nightly rate on the renaissance website is more than double at $139 plus tax.. Good reviews and rating on TripAdvisor... I just booked great deals for Toronto and LA for the upcoming couple of weeks... Keep the deals coming!
  2. I got this hotel for $85 for the above dtes, which inlcude New Years.. I couldnt believe it! Regular price for New Years is very expensive, so I lucked out big time. I've read good things about this hotel on Trip Advisor. VERY happy with my assigned hotel.
  3. I got the Westin Bonaventure for $85 per night for the above dates. Very happy since I live in the L.A. suburbs but work in Downtown and have a friend from out of town coming so I wanted a place much closer to everything. Plus we have tickets to a Lakers game at Staples Center for 1/4/2011.. This should be good.. I can come and go from the office while my friend sightsees for a bit and then we can meet up.
  4. AWESOME! I got similar dates to you (2/18-2/21) for $100 per night last Thursday... So I guess Priceline is unloading the Roosevelt hotel inventory now..
  5. I forgot to mention that PRICELINE has this hotel as 3.5 stars; it is located on 45th and Madison. I looked on the hotel website and they had rooms for these dates from $179-$199 plus taxes.. so I guess I did very well price-wise..
  6. I bid $100 a night yesterday for 2/18-2/21 and it was accepted. I got the Roosevelt Hotel. I have read mixed reviews about this hotel on TripAdvisor and other forums. People say the location is great but that the hotel is old, dirty, etc.. Does anyone here have any prior experiences with this hotel? I used the link from here to start my PRICELINE request too! Any info would be greatly appreciated; thanks..
  7. Kind of after the fact, but I just found this site to share bidding stories. I used Priceline for a June trip to Chicago and got The Wit hotel for $70 a night. I was shocked when I got there and saw my room how nice the hotel was and great location. For $70, really?? The decor was to my taste, very modern and sharp angles... I got my free cookie at check-in and the staff througout the whole weekend was great, the bar area in the lobby and on the roof was great.. Good time and value... The same room was going for $200 on the hotel website.. Who can afford to pay regular price? Geez!
  8. Good to know that this time frame is more expensive.. Have to keep that in mind... I will post The Wit bid win.. That was a find!
  9. I had been trying to get a hotel in Chicago for under $100; but after so many tries, I finally went over by $5 to $105 and I got the Sheraton Towers.. The regular price for these dates for this hotel is $249 plus tax! Does anyone know if there is some kind of convetion or something happening? I was in Chicago end of June and bid $70 and got The Wit, which was an awesome hotel.. Oh well, I'm very happy about my bid and that I found this site. Will def. be coming back here to share and also see what others are able to find.
