I'm so surprised!! I went through the priceline express first and it offered me a 2.5* at $63 and a higher star at a higher amount that I don't remember. I assumed the 2.5* was the Extended Stay Plymouth meeting, so i thought i would try to name my price for less than $63 and see what happened. I only selected 2.5* in my bid and bid $52 and won the 3* which has an indoor pool so my kids will be THRILLED! it was a 63% savings over regular price, i didn't think i would get the 2.5, let alone something better! Free breaksfast, free parking, free pool, free internet --- i'm in heaven. .. I used the better bidding PRICELINE link.

The 3* with the 80% approval disappeared so I went with the one on the Easy view tab. It showed $66 on the search but dropped to $62 when I went into the details. Ended up with La Quinta. full amenities listed as free parking, free breakfast, free internet, pet friendly, fitness center, restaurant(s), business center, self service laundry, internet access, accessible bathroom, accessible parking.

So the searches above were all done on a tablet. I got on the computer just now and that shows a second 3*.... why does that not pull on the tablet? Tablet still isn't showing it and I have the site pulled up on both now. I am searching just Tacoma. This is using the Hotwite link, not the easy view. The first 3* is bidding at $64, regular $103 with 2 asterixes behind that not sure why), 50% recommended. Free breakfast, free parking, free internet are highlighted in green. Pool, pet friendly, fitness center, business center, self service laundry are grey, so I assume that means they aren't available. The second 3* is bidding at $68, regular $100 (with one asterix behind that), 80% recommended. Free breakfast, free parking, free internet are highlighted in green. Pet friendly, fitness center, business center, self service laundry are greyed. Easy view only shows one of the 3*, but has it listed at $66 with no original price indicsted or reviews. full amenities listed as free parking, free breakfast, free internet, pet friendly, fitness center, restaurant(s), business center, self service laundry, internet access, accessible bathroom, accessible parking. So a) why is the tablet dropping one of the results completely? And b) is this probably 3 different hotels or is the easy view one probably one of the other 2? I am so confused now.

My guess on the 3* is the Best Western Plus, Tacoma which sounds perfect. You see any others I'm missing as a possible match? I know, it's no guarantee. Do they use hotels on the secret rates that wouldn't be on the regular rates page also?

I'm searching Hotwire for 2 adults 2 children, 1 room thanks for your help :)

Won the Kenilworth. Not a huge drop, regular price was $127. Kind of took a risk because this was what I really wanted/needed for the shuttle, but my research indicated this would be the hotel I won and I was right. I figure it covered the taxes, cheaper than paying long term parking and I get a hotel room the night before!

I guess I was trying to narrow down so I could rey to deterimine what hotel it was and see for myself if it may be a roach motel first. Thanks, I'll figure something out. There are no hotels on the hotwire list with those star ratings in those areas

I don't think it allows bed info- didn't see it. I just meant maybe I could bid, instead if the express option, at a lower rate to see if it wad accepted - but I need at least 2 beds. I hate that priceline won't configure for 4 people occupancy. Anyway - back to my original question. Any idea on how to narrow down these hotels? I assume the Richmond south 3* is probably the Holiday Inn. But I have no idea what the others possibly are. Any idea?

unless it's a cockroach/bedbug dream, I'm not overly concerned. It's literally just a place to pull off for the night. Late in early out. :) so yes, the price is right I think I just found the exact same 2 star and 2.5 star on pric.eline express deals. both in Richmond West for near identical price points. Also the 3 and 2 star for Richmond south. I'd be tempted to bid lower on PRICELINE name your price, but I need to know I have 2 beds :(

Ack -- someone is messing with me. Now the one you mentioned is there with a 35% rating. I am sure the one I saw was just 30% rating and just the amenities I listed because I remember thinking it was a much shorter list, but basically just not all the accessibility items broken down

Nope -- mine was the full list. but now it's not listed, only a 2 star for Richmond west at $38 with no ratings. just has freee parking, pool, free breakfast and High speed internet -- not fitness center listed. (and a 1 star at $52 also offered) .... on the Richmond South 3 star I did drop the Blind Accessible, Room Accessible, Wheelchair Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking from the list because they seemede like a given for any hotel? ... thanks for your help

I also just found in Richmond West at 2.5 star not on the Hotwire list: Free Parking,Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), High-Speed Internet Access Only has a 30% recommendation but this is just a passing through for a spot to sleep. I want to stay close to 95, but this area doesn't seem too far off and has a better price. thanks again

Right, but since there weren't any 1 or 2 stars listed in the zone, I was really just trying to bid up my 2.5 star... I just got unlucky by trying to pushe luck. I should have waited until tomorrow and started over, I just wanted to get it done with. Lesson learned

I'm going to Kennywood Park, but really wanted a 3 star .. none in West Mifflin ... so: bid 3 star around Monroeville $48, declined. Kept everything at 3 star Added North- Allegheny bid $53, declined. Added West Mifflin $60, decline - was told i could raise to $75 and get a room. I declined. Added South, bid $63 .. declined. Then I went to 2.5 star in West Mifflin, dropped bid to $50, declined. added 2 star in West Mifflin, bid $55 and declined. Added 1 stars in West Mifflin and bid $60 and was accepted at Extended Stay America Pittsburgh - West Mifflin --- whioch needs added to the Hotel list. I'm kind of disappointed, because I think they are only a 2 star. No big deal as long as it's clean, but it's an anniversary trip, so wanted something nice. But that's the chance you take. At least it's close to the park. ..... and I did bid through Better Bidding's PRICELINE link
