  1. I checked the Days Inn website and it does say business center nearby so that may be what hotwire is reporting as a business center for the hotel. I would not think they would do that but who knows. Well I am going to book directly with the hotel with AAA discount room is $36 and $39 with tax compared to $49 on hotwire with tax and the fees.
  2. But the Days Inn does not have a business center.
  3. 2* Battle Creek 7/14/08 for 1 night $39 Amenities: Breakfast, Business Center, Internet, Golf I have searched all the regular search places Orbitz, hotels, Expedia, and Travelocity and can not find a hotel in Battle Creek that has no pool but has a business center. The Days Inn and Super 8 are the only hotels that do not have a pool but do not have a business center. Plus the Days Inn regular rate is $40 so I would be really surprised if it was only reduced $1 on hotwire and the Super 8 does not have any rooms available that day.
  4. Sorry I was unaware of the support page and your affiliation with Doubletree so I did not use it. I could cancel and make the reservation again with the link if you think it is worth it.
  5. I book the Doubletree near the airport today on their website which I can cancel within 24 hours with no penalty. It is $89 a night. So I will keep that as a backup and see if the rates go down any further. I will let you know what happens. Thanks for all the information.
  6. I looked at the the Sahara through your link for lastminutetravel.com. In the hotel description it mentions a $3 energy surcharge and $1 phone charge per night. Do you know if those charges are included in the total quoted with taxes and fees on the next page after you hit book it? Thanks
  7. Yeah that may work. I was also looking at a 3* condo in the airport area which I identified as The Grandview at Las Vegas. I see it is pretty far from the strip but looks very nice it was $99 this morning but now is $104. Do you know anything about it? Thanks
  8. I think the atrium suites is the 3.5* one that comes up right after this one in the Hotwire search for $89. I did not know about the Trip Advisor rating which can be seen by selecting the hotel. I looked on the Trip Advisor website and the Emerald Suites Tropicana is a possible match, it has the same Trip Advisor rating with 20+ reviews like they say and the last one in May 2007. The only thing that I could not find on their website is that they have complimentary breakfast. That is what attracted me to this one, could save some money that way. I was looking to spend less than $90 but could go to $100 if needed and hoping for a 3* or better does not have to be on the strip. Thanks for the information.
  9. $88/night 8/17 for 2 nights Suite, Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Golf Nearby, Spa Thanks
  10. My previous rejected bid for a 2* in Sorrento Mesa zone was $65 with this bid I was given a $17 counteroffer. I then added Coronado and bid $70 and got it.
  11. The Days Inn was just reported on June 6th and it did not have restaurant, instead it had complimentary breakfast, so I am wondering if it is another hotel in the area. I am hesitant to go for a 2 star without knowing exactly though because they can be a little less consistent than higher star hotels. I have been looking all over the San Diego area trying to find something cheaper then what I have reserved that I can cancel which is the Old Town Inn which is 116 a night. I do not mind being 20 miles from San Diego that is why I have looked all the way from Encinitas to San Ysidro. I did book a hotel finally through Priceline based on a price given in the Priceline area. It is a 2 star Holiday Inn Express in Sorrento Mesa Vally area for $70, 4 nights, July 6-10. Thanks for all the help in this process.
  12. This will be my last requests sorry for the multiple requests but I have a hard time finding a reasonable hotel in the San Diego area. 2* Carlsbad - Encinitas, July 6-10, $69 Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Laundry 2.5* Carlsbad - Encinitas, July 6-10, $72 Near Beach, Pool, Restaurant
  13. Thanks I have stayed there before and it is definitely not worth $109. I decided not to take this trip because of the high prices of hotels right now and other trips I already have planned. Thanks
  14. Concerning the 3* in Chula Vista I have decided not to book that one since for a 3* I was hoping to be something better than the Days Inn or Americas Best Value Inn. I will look in another area. The 2.5* in National City is most likely the Holiday Inn which I read on trip advisor is not that good of a hotel so I decided not to book this one either. Thanks for the information
  15. The chicago trip has been cancelled since the hotels were too expensive. The San Diego trip is going to happen, have booked a cancellable hotel at the Old Town Inn which is $115 a night free parking. Been watching hotwire to see if the prices move, but they have not too much. I had found one today for $119 in Downtown Harbor Island for $119. It says it is a suite so I thought it may be the Sheraton Suites but it has internet which the hotel list does not have. The Las Vegas trip I just booked plane reservations and wanted to get an idea of what is out there on Hotwire.
  16. $49, 8/15-8/17 Ammenities: Suite, Shuttle, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Golf Thanks
  17. 3.5* San Diego Downtown Harbor Island $119, 7/6-7/10 Ammenities: Suite, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Internet Thanks
  18. 3*, $109, 6/15-6/17 Ammenities: Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Laundry, High-Speed Internet
  19. Oh ok it could be the regular Holiday Inn not the Express that has all the ammenities listed and is in the National City zone.
  20. Oh ok, you had written Howard Johnson in your original note not Holiday Inn. That is what confused me. The Holiday Express though does not fall within the Hotwire National City zone. It is too far south to be in that zone. I will do some more research see if I can figure it out. Thanks
  21. The Howard Johnson Express does not have a fitness center or laundry according to the Howard Johnson website though.
  22. 2.5* in National City 7/6 - 7/10 , $76, 2.5* Ammenities: Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Laundry
  23. 3* in Chula Vista San Ysidro July 6 - July 10, $96 Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Laundry Thanks
  24. I took the 3* at $58 and it is the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza, I also used the GIFTCARD06 code and got $20 off.
  25. Could you just identify the 3* for $58? This is for tomorrow night and I want to book as soon as I can so that the price does not go up. Thanks
