I've stayed here before and it was a great experience. Actually, it's an awesome location because you can access the other side of the Strip via Dean Martin and be at the Palazzo or Wynn in 5-10 minutes, via car and/or rideshare. It's about a 3 minute walk to Aria and about a 5-7 minute walk to the Bellagio lobby.  There's a tram in between the Vdara and Bellagio, where you can take to Park MGM, Crystals Shopping, and Aria.

When I started bidding a week ago, I was bidding on a 3.5* with the hopes of getting Sheraton Carlsbad. I had checked the Sheraton website and they had a room for $145. In my 5-day bidding marathon, starting at $70 and ending at $120, incrementing by $1, I was unsuccessful. I guess, being patient didn't pay off. I've should've started bidding earlier, rather than wait until closer to the check-in date. By the 5th day, the Sheraton room on its website went up to $164. At this time, I decided to bid on a 3*.
