  1. Originally, I tried bidding for a 4* in Downtown Seattle upto $90 with no luck. And factoring in the parking ($40) it was too much for a couple days down south shopping. Anyways, decided on Bellevue since it's 10mins driving distance to DT Seattle! Won on my first bid! Very happy with my win & free parking at the hotel!
  2. Started at $120 and increased $5 for every rebid. Finally won at $150. It is particularly high for what I would normally get it for, but had to bite the bullet because it is on a Saturday and there is also a huge car convention at this time. Anyway, i can't really complain about the price since the going rate for a 5* is averaged at $300/nt for this date :)
  3. Was bidding upto $90 a couple of days ago with no luck and gave up. Thought I try again today by bidding slightly lower and work my way up with the free rebids. But I guess I didn't have to...got it on the first bid of $88!
  4. Woohoo..finally got the Doubletree Hotel Anaheim/ Orange County for $55/nt! Thanks all for your help!
  5. I bid for a 3.5* & 4* zones Anaheim North & South (Garden Grove). Started my first bid at $45, $48..$50 and still no success. Please help and let me know what other zones I can select to get another rebid. As well, not sure if I should wait until Oct.1 to start bidding instead. Do you think the hotels tend to release more rooms as it gets closer to the date if they have not met their occupancy rate?
  6. Need help bidding for hotels near Disneyland (Anaheim North & South Garden Grove) for 3nts. Hoping to get it for $45-60/nt. I've only managed to bid once per day because I not sure what other areas to select in order to get another chance to bid. Thanks!
  7. My bad, it should be a Standard not a Midsize. How do I edit the posting or delete & repost?
  8. Btw, any tips/strategies on bidding for the Las Vegas strip for a 4* or higher? My last bid of $71 was rejected from 10/29/11 - 11/03/11. I've only managed to bid twice the same day by selecting Boulder City, which does not have 4*. I'm travelling with 2 children and prefer not to split the dates up if I can, but will if I have to. I also need your help bidding for 3nts in Anaheim(3.5* or higher). Don't really know the amount to start with. Plus, it's very confusing because there are ranges now when bidding the location and I'm scared to rebid and end up with a something I don't want. Thanks!
  9. My $14 bid was actually rejected a couple of days before, but waited because I have over a month before my trip & I know that their quota/prices changes all the time. Luckily, I rebid the same price and won! $14/day for a midsize with Alamo!
  10. First bid $50 was too low. Won on second bid of $60! Also, winning bid for 11days car rental from Alamo $14/day.
  11. Seattle Pike-Place 4* First bid $75, second $81 & 3rd time was a charm....$85 for the HYATT OLIVE 8!
  12. Thank you for your help! We've decided to book directly with Luxor through your link for Monte Carlo instead. They had a special promo rate starting from $38/nt.
  13. When I select 4* the system automatically select 5* as well. Therefore, this limits me to the different available zones. The only Zone left that doesn't have 4* is "Boulder Strip." Anyway, I think I going to drop the 4* and go with the 3.5*. Factoring in the resort fee & parking it's a bit over our budget with the 4*. Can you help me breakdown the re-bidding zones strategy for a 3.5* & if we can eliminate Flamingo? We're thinking of bidding upto $60 max considering the weekend as we can book directly with Monte Carlo from $61/nts. Thanks!
  14. Yes, the bid of $68 was only for the hotel and haven't bid for the rental car yet. We are ok with only one bed in the room since she sleeps with us in our bed anyways :) However, isn't it possible to request a room with 2 beds after we have won our bid at the hotel? Thanks! Oops...forgot to mention that the bid was for both the North & South Zone.
  15. Hi thereuare, I'm new to the forum and not sure how it works. Really appreciate your help Please help me with bidding strategies for an rental car & a 3.5* or higher in Las Vegas. Car: LAS airport pick up & drop off (Economy car) Hotel area: Las Vegas strip (north or south) Arrival: Oct. 11, 2010 Dept: Oct. 19 (8nts) Budget: $40 - $80 No. of ppl: 2 adults & 1 child (3yrs) I really want to get the Monte Carlo under the 3.5* but was really scared to get the Flamingo so I've only tried putting in bids for the 4* & higher hotels. However, I'm having problems because I've been rejected upto the bid of $68. Should I split up the dates??? Please please help! Cheers, Wild Orchids
