I wanted to book a 4 star room in the Kaanapali - Lahaina area for October 10 through October 14 but the prices were very expensive on Hotwire ($231 a night) and Priceline Express Deal ($215 a night). So instead, I found that if I were to break my trip up into two pieces, the Priceline Express deal from 10/10 to 10/13 was $175 a night and the Priceline Express deal for 10/13 to 10/14 was $143 a night. So I decided to bid twice and I was able to come up with the following:
From 10/10 to 10/13, I won a bid for 4* Maui (Kaanapali - Lahaina) The Westin Maui Resort and Spa at $165 a night
From 10/13 to 10/14, I won a bid for 4* Maui (Kaanapali - Lahaina) Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa at $130 a night
While its not ideal to change hotels for one night, according to my wonky calculations, I will save approximately $190 by staying in two different hotels. Plus, we will get to check out another pool setup during our stay.
Started at $50 due to the information given on Better Bidding and went up in increments of $5 before winning three hotel rooms at $75 each (approx $89 each room with tax and fees).
Started at $70 and won a hotel room for $75. Started at $70 due to the information gained on Better Bidding. Thanks!
$73.10 with fees and taxes. Free parking but I hear (through reviews) that this hotel is not within "walking distance" of downtown (approx 2.5 miles from the heart of Nashville)
$65.93 with taxes and fees. Additional $21 to self park or $28 for valet
Secured this hotel with a bid of $60 (total is $75.79 after taxes and fees). Originally wanted to stay in downtown Charleston but bid up to $90 for downtown and there were no takers. This hotel is right on the water and a very short drive (across the river) to downtown.
After many bids, got this hotel for a bid of $65 ($81.80 with taxes and fees)
$54 after taxes. Hotel has park and fly. Price listed at $79 (before tax) on website.
This is my first post and I am doing a 3 week roadtrip with booking as many hotels on PRICELINE. This website is a very valuable tool that I will use and I appreciate all the other users who come before and after me who make this website great.
