  1. What are the re-bid zone for priceline *4 chi--or how do I find them myself...?
  2. Right now, I booked through your easy click link the White Hall for $149 for the 25th and the Sheraton (which is where the conference is) for $195 for the 26th but I like the idea of trying the Best Western at $119. I guess I'd go up to $130 at Price Line. The funny thing about this is that I was only going to stay 1 night--but when I saw the rate was so low, I thought it would be better to attend the full meeting. :)
  3. Here is my story: I found on HOTWIRE a $97 3.5 star Boutique hotel in the Chicago Loop for 9/25-9/27: the dates of an optional meeting. Given the fact that I could find an affordable hotel, I went ahead and checked flights. SWA had $49 rate so I booked my airfare then returned to HOTWIRE to book my room. Hotwire said my session timed out and when I searched again, the hotel wasn't listed. Now the best deal is $209 for a 4*. Any change the Hotel Allegro will show up again?
  4. Here is my story: I found on HOTWIRE a $97 3.5 star Boutique hotel in the Chicago Loop for 9/25-9/27: the dates of an optional meeting. Hotwire said my session timed out and when I searched again, the hotel wasn't listed. Now the best deal is $209 for a 4*. So I thought I'd try Priceline: I choose my zones (loop and Mag Mile) and 4* at $105. I added Boutique at $107--nothing. What should I do next. Is there a way to keep rebidding?
  5. I just booked via the EasyClickTravel Link. I got Aladdin for $79 x 3 nights: Dec 9-12. I hope the construction is not an issue--but we can deal with it. I'll ask for a better room with my $20 in hand upon check-in.
  6. Help would be great....I just don't know where to begin----name so sites or resorts or developments or locations I should look into....
  7. The family reunion is where ever I book the 15 plus rooms for about 45 people. In 2007 it will be in CO, other than that, I've been given no restrictions. Keystone/Frisco and CO Springs seem to be options.
  8. Ok. I'll admit this might be the wrong forum for this thread, but I have has so much luck using www.savingsbarn.com that I thought I would come here and ask the CO travel gurus for assistance in finding a group of condos to rent for a family reunion next June in CO. I need the 'condo version' of savingsbarn.com. :)
  9. Do you recommend the Resort/Fountain rooms (about $40 more) or the Deluxe at the Aladdin.
  10. OOPS: Yes, SPA and tennis do show up under hotel details. Gotta be the LUXOR--99% sure. ----------++++++++++----------- Here is what a currently thinking: We don't need to be at M-Bay or Luxor. M-bay looks pricey and may be sold out for one of the nights. The Luxor doesn't have a bath tub, which is nice to soak in after a marathon. Aladdin/Planet has nice tubs in their resort level rooms. Further, we can save $60 to $100 by staying SAT-TUES instead of FRI-MON. So as it stands, I suspect we will book the Aladdin for $115 (12/9 to 12/12) via the EasyClickTravel link you provided---unless you have a better idea.
  11. I've plugged in 2 sets of dates for South Strip on Hotwire via the link you provided. If we just go with FRI & SAT Dec 8-9, the rate is $142 **** -Resort -Casnio -Fitness -Pool -Rest -Business -Hi Speed -Golf (No spa or Tennis) If we go with SAT, SUN & MON, Dec 9-12 (thus avoiding at least 1 of the expensive Friday/Saturday nights) the rate is $97. It should be noted that if you subtract the $142 cost for Saturday Night, the remaining nights are at $75, which is $5 more that the direct booking price. So, it is safe to assume 2 things: 1.) The Friday rate is most likely $10 more than the Saturday right--and 2.) There is no savings off the direct internet rate of $70 by using Hotwire. PS: I used the link to the Aladdin I and see $135 Resort/Fountain or $99 for Deluxe.
  12. What is your 'review' of the Trop. We can get the 'old' tower for $100.
  13. We need to be near the start and finish of the marathon (M-Bay) and near our friends who are at the Luxor and M-Bay. Honestly though, for the right deal I'd stay further north. Excaliber was a dump last time I was there----about 6 years ago.
  14. By the way, this hotel was very nice, despite a few luke warm reviews on Trip Advisory. You'd have really nit-pit to have a beef with this hotel.
  15. I've had great success with Savings Barn and getting deals via Priceline but this time, I really do care which hotel I stay in. Any tips? The Marathon 'official hotel' is M-Bay and friends will be the Luxor. Any good suggestions? Legas.com has the Luxor for $140.40 a night.
  16. Thanks for your help. The Hotel is............(drum roll please) Hotel InterContinental Chicago 505 North Michigan Avenue Chicago, Illinois 60611 (312) 944-4100 As always with Hotwire, if you can live with the price and everything of the Hotels on the list, it can be a great tool.
  17. The 4 star is down to $111 this AM. We might snag it as that's a good rate, no matter what hotel. Please post now if you have any clues. Remember, ONLY Rest. and Fitness.
  18. Thanks. I found a B&B that looked affordable but we encounter 2 problems: 1, it was really more like a studio apt. with danishes and juice in entryway each morning, 2, they lost our reservations but when pressed, found something for us. Would not use them again.....
  19. We found a WDW timeshare owner who was willing to rent to us at $134/day. It would have been even cheaper if we didn't need a Sat night. Did not book through Hotwire this time.
  20. This is the same trip as the Lincoln Park Thread. I'll post in the Orlando one now!
  21. No clue what hotel this is. Please Help 4 Star Mag Mile June 15-17 06, Rest and Fitness only $118
  22. It appears that the 'zone' I want to stay in is not part of any hotel zone on Hotwire. What do I need to do to find a Lincoln Park area hotel?
  23. Thanks. It is the Hyatt Pier 66. We are booked! Thanks.
