Stayed at this hotel 3/24/3/27/05 (Easter Weekend). $54 a night on Hotwire, less the $10 coupon. Very friendly and nice staff- I called to advise we would be checking in latish, and they said no problem, confirmed that we were reserved for a King no smoking room. They graciously changed it on request to a Double Smoking room. They put us on the second floor at the end of the hall farthest from the elevator. Room was a decent size, clean, lots of towels, 3 pillows on each bed. Beds were a bit soft, but we are used to very hard beds. Coffeemaker but no fridge. A light bulb was burned out when we checked in, but was replaced within an hour upon our calling. The room was clean, the halls could have been cleaner- it looked like the maids dropped stuff off the cart and no one ever picked it up. The hotel was fine, if unexceptional. The location is FANTASTIC. It is within walking distance of everything in the historic district, including the Philly Phlash tourist bus loop about a block away. Parking is $20 per night, unlimited in and out. Checkout is at 11 am, but you can leave your car in the garage till 6 pm at no additional charge. If visiting Philly again, I would definitely stay here. For the price, it was perfect. If you are looking for luxury, this isn't it, but it was clean, comfortable, friendly and EXTREMELY convenient to everything.
