  2. Hello, Looking for advice on how to bid for a 3.5 or 4 star hotel near the typical tourist sites for 3/31/11 to 4/5/11. My alternative is to go with a vacation rental by owner for about $150/night. Do you think I can find a hotel for less than that? We do not plan to have a car. Thanks!
  3. Saw previous win at $51, knew I wanted this hotel so just went with $55 right away and got it. Used your PRICELINE links. Thanks again!

  5. great advice. I'm going to book the renaissance and keep watching hotwire. Thanks for all the help! Doug

  7. I thought about staying in NJ but would prefer the ability to stop into the hotel during the day. It seems like we could see more if we weren't going in and out of the city. As far as the car rental goes, we are starting in Boston, visiting Cooperstown, then to NY, and back to Boston, so ditching the car isn't really an option. I looked at the Beekman, but don't think the fold-out couch for the boys will work (they're pretty big kids). Thanks for the ideas, though. I'm option to options.

  9. To book all four nights together, they wanted $154, so I split it up. I was a customer favorite Selected amenities include: Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Business Center
  10. I'm looking for a nice (i.e. 4*) hotel for Monday thru Wednesday 7/25-27. We're (wife and two boys 14 and 17) traveling with a rental car, going to Phanton on Monday and the Yankees on Tuesday. We'd like to spend time in the city siteseeing as well. I'm not seeing anything less than 239, and I've been watching for a couple of months. I've seen the advice for using priceline, but I'm concerned that I can't guarantee space for the boys - especially since it looks like a lot of NY hotels only allow 2 people per room. Any ideas?
