  1. Offer finally accepted at $100 tried $5 increments from $50 - I used the PRICELINE link on the board and I'm happy with the deal, probably blow all my savings on roulette the first night though. Thanks again for your help - Great forum
  2. Thanks Crankie I got it now - I really do appreciate all the help guys, I'll have a beer for you all when I get there lol.
  3. Thanks for the explanation I really appreciate you spelling it out for me but JI'm a little nervous doing the rebid zones - because I'm totally confused (looks like rebid zone 2 is fremont street vicinity?)-I've got a week and a half to get a room and I'm already up to $75 - 5 more days/bids and I'll be at $100
  4. The rates for this weekend are higher than any other weekend for the next 2 months. I am trying to get a room downtown bidding on priceline and have been unsuccessful as well so I called the golden nugget to find out whats up, they told me its a frenzy weekend because a bakers convention is coming to town. Good luck on getting your deal but I'm afraid its going to take more dough than expected.
  5. Yep, I'll pay $100 Thanks for the help, I'll let you know what happens.
  6. Hotel direct rate is now $132 average per night, they had a special a few days ago for $10 off per night.
  7. Thanks Aaron, I just tried $57 ( not accepted) will try $62 tomorrow, I don't have a budget- just trying to get the best deal I can for this particular property.
  8. Am I correct that the nugget is the only 4 star hotel in the fremont street vicinity on PRICELINE?
  9. I have bid $50 and $55 for staying in a 4 star hotel in the Fremont area, I believe that the Golden Nugget is the only 4 star hotel in the area and is the only hotel I want to stay at. I am looking for help in getting the best deal possible. Do rates typically go down as time winds down or is there usually a sweet spot where you can get the best deal a couple weeks out? I have no problem booking even the day I arrive if that is typically the best way to do it. The best rate I have found is actually on the Golden Nugget web site averaging at about $109 a night, Expedia is $132 - what is a good range to expect to pay via PRICELINE?
