  1. Hi, Just the two I mentioned (which is odd because the hotel does have a restaurant). Hotel Amenities Free Internet, Internet access
  2. Hi, Thank you for your reply. I went in again on the same dates today. That particular hotel/price combination was no longer available. Instead there was a 3.5 star with free internet, internet access only as amenities for $132 a night. It was 100% recommended, so I thought why not accept. Seems like a good deal for that time of year. Reading the tripadvisor revews, it looks a nice hotel, so for that price I think I got a good deal. I used your bidding helper weblink of course.
  3. Hi, Using your BiddingHelper.com website I pulled up a 3.5 star hotel with the following amenities in the Downtown Quebec area. It was $151 and 95% recommended. It doesn't seem to tie to any of the ones you have listed in the hotel list. Any idea which hotel it could be? Dates were 9/12 to 9/15. FULL AMENITIES: Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique Hotel, Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access
  4. Hi, Using your HOTWIRE link I got the Crowne Plaza for $69 a night. I used your Hotwire list of hotels before hand to figure out that it should be this hotel. This hotel is one of the best reviewed hotels on tripadvisor so I was very happy to get it. Thanks for all the work you do on these boards. Here were the icons for this hotel: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access
  5. Started with $50 and a 4*. After rejection added 3.5 star at same price. Again rejected, so increased price to $55 and added non 3.5 star area. Total price $195. Less than half the current Orbitz price so very happy. I of course used your PRICELINE link.
  6. Hi, My parents are visting New York from Ireland in May so I was asked to get the hotel room. First tried through the usual process of rebidding to get a four star hotel. Went as high as $140 but had no luck (just an FYI I didn't look in the financial district area as I wanted to keep them in the Central Park/Time Square/Midtown area). I then opened a new page and tried bidding for a 3 and a half star at $115 in CPS, Empire, MTE, MTW and Times Square. No luck, so I added my free bid area of Chelsea and increased to $120. This was successful, and I got the Dream Hotel. Looks a very nice hotel, and an excellent location. Total cost for five nights was $719. I of course used your PRICELINE link to go to Priceline. Thanks again for all the work you do on these boards. I find it a very valuable research tool when using Priceline.
  7. Hi, I would have preferred the Universal area but I put the WDW area on as the price was going a bit higher than I wanted to pay. Using free rebids and putting the star level down to 3 star, I got this hotel. Including taxes it came to $208, which is much cheaper than the $362 you would have to pay booking by other means. Only thing I'm not too happy about, looking at the hotel website, is that there is a mandatory $10 per night resort fee. Considering I won't even be using the facilities at the pool, this is wasted money. Still, can't complain too much. It's definintely a good deal. I did use your link to go to PRICELINE.
  8. Got two rooms here for this price. Started with Downtown four star at $60, added a free bid and $65, then decided to add the three star and $68 (as I thought there were certainly three stars available for under $70). Very happy with the Holiday Inn as I hear it is a very nice hotel.
  9. Thanks Thereuare. Love the website. By the way, I must say thanks to Go Now as it was his winning bid of $53 for London 4/11-4/17 that gave me my starting point.
  10. I had a bid of $68 accepted for the Hilton London Islington for April 7th. I just needed somewhere to stay for one night before visiting some friends in Oxford. Very excited after reading the good reviews of this hotel on Tripadvisor. The hotel is also situated only 3 minutes walk from Angel Tube station. Angel is a great area and I've been out in pubs there before. I started with a $53 bid for four star Marble Arch, then added the city for $63, and finally added Westminster and a bid of $68. The total including charges was $87.55.
  11. Like you said, due to the nearness of the dates involved I decided to take the offer. I guessed the most I might have saved was $7 a night so I didn't think it was worth the risk of losing this price for the sake of $14. Who knows what the price might have been in 72 hours, and I didn't want to stay in any of the other areas of London. I'm only a recent convert to Priceline so I appreciate your advice. Thank you.
  12. Just registered to give you details about a priceline transaction I had. I was looking for a hotel room in the Liverpool St area (city/financial district/islington) for April 1st and 2nd, as I am flying in and out of London Stanstead (the train for the airport leaves from here). I first tried $65 a night for a four star with no success. I added a three star for the area with again no success. I then added the Bloomsbury/Marble Arch area and went back to a four star rating and a bid of $75. Priceline did not accept the bid but offered me a hotel for $94 a night. After looking at Expedia and seeing the cheapest four star hotel in the city area was $172 a night I decided to accept this. The hotel I got was the Crowne Plaza London The City which is near Blackfriars underground station (only five stops from Liverpool Street). Total cost was $230. I am very happy with this, especially the location.
