  1. I'd bet on the Sheraton as well. . . .but the 85% Hotwire recommendation throws me for a loop. I find it implausible that anyone would recommend that property. It is old and threadbare and a dive. My daughter is at UPENN and we will not stay there. We don't even bid on Priceline because we could get that property. I'd pay the extra $40 for the four star Inn at Penn . .it's definably worth it.
  2. My bet would be the Inn at Penn. $150 is a good price, but they'll get youu for $30 parking. My daughter is at UPenn and it is our favorite around campus.
  3. $80 was turned down, I really don't want to spend $100 (tax and fee) so I'll probally drive in in the morning . . I'll need to leave home about 4:30. I tried through your PRICELINE link.
  4. $65 was turned down today without a counter offer, I'll try tomorrow
  5. No I haven't bid yet, I was looking for advice where to start. I will definitely use your links to bid . . do you have a suggestion?
  6. I am looking for a 3-star room in East Lansing, MI on 4/29. Although I am there for a seminar, it is a tough night; the spring inter-squad football game is the next day (only game of the spring practice season). Both the Marriott and Staybridge, the properties shown on the betterbidding hotel list, are sold out on their respective websites. I'd like to pay $100 or less. On their respective websites the Staybridge is normally $129 and the Marriott is $149 ($127 senior discount). I'd rather not stay in My meeting is in th Marriot in E. Lansing I'll stay in Lansiing if I absolutely need to, but would greatly prefer to be in E. Lansing. Suggestions of where to start?
  7. I'm looking for a starting bid on 1 room, I greatly prefer 3 star, in E. Lancing Mi on 4/29 (Sorry I know you are U of M) I'm there for a seminar, but I know it is a tough night because MSU's spring inter squad football game is on Saturday -I'm looking for Friday night. marriot.com does not show the E. Lansing property available on 4/29 Hotwire has only 2 and 2-1/2 star and they don't look so hot to me . . . . I afraid that if I play around, both 3-stars will be out of priceline before I get a room. The marriot.com regular price for the room is 149.95 on other dates

  9. 3/25-3/26 3.5* Louisville (Jeffersonville) Sheraton Riverside - a good hotel with 95% positive reviews I tried priceline at $35 and $40 but that could have been the Holiday Inn where I didn't want to stay. However with taxes and the Hotwire fee the rate was only $1 less than the hotel online senior/ AAA online rate
  10. When I went back today, Priceline did not show any availability in the university zone, all the levels were grayed out. So I bid on the downtown area. I started out at $75 for a 3-1/2 star and got the Le Meridian on the first offer. It is a 4 star but the gave it to me on a 3-1/2 star bid. The best rate for the Le M
  11. I'll pay whatever I need to to get the room, however PRICELINE still shows that area as available at a 3-1/2 level. There are only two properties shown and I do not know of anther hotel in the area that could be considered a 3-1/2* property, so I am relative sure it is one of the two you show and that are acceptable to me. When I draw the grid, there are 4 Philadelphia areas without a 3-1/2 * or above rating. Does that mean I'll get 5 rebids every day? Thanks for your help
  12. I need a room for parents weekend. HOTWIRE does not segregate University area so I'll use Priceline. I stayed at the Inn at Penn last weekend at $75 - fabulous deal via PRICELINE. (I'll go through your site next time.) The in room reservation form for the Inn at Penn was $399 a night with a 2 nite minimum. (I know it's parents weekend.) I'm not in a hurry, so where should I start bidding? I defiantly want to stay at the Sheraton University or the Inn at Penn. They are the only two properties on campus. (the Inn at Penn is much nicer - but I know it's Priceline.) Should I start at $180 , the usual rack rate? / /suggestions. I don't mind bidding for a week or two.
