  1. Went to New York and I had a fantastic time, so i'm going again! Started bidding for a 3.5 Star Hotel, as I saw on Hotwire in the same area had it for about $94/night. So knowing this I went to Priceline and did this. First Bid : $75 - 3.5 Star Selection Second Bid: $78 - 3.0 Star Selection (Accepted) Awesome price, as they list it for $536. On Priceline I paid $388 Used the PRICELINE links this time. Please edit the year to 2011, also this is now a 3 Star Hotel according to Priceline!
  2. I have been doing some searches all night. I did find a decent hotel. I found someone on craigslist (I know it screams scam but...) He said that he can get me a room at the Hyatt Place in New Jersey for $59 bucks. Works out to be $100 for the night. I don't know if I should take it or not but time will tell.
  3. With the Expedia Package I only booked 1 night stay, and Now looking for 1 more stay between Dec 5-6. Regarding the zones, any zones I am willing to accept as long as it is close to the city and there is easily usable public transporation transportation. If I increase my limit to around $120, would that be better? I haven't had a issue in the pass checking in because of my age, but I honestly willing take a risk. For the price I am paying i'm not too concerned. Thanks
  4. Well I figured out that I am staying in Newark for Dec 4-5 (winning priceline bid) but now I am looking for places in Manhattan/JFK area between Dec 5-6.
  5. Hello, I was looking for a place to stay for my New York Trip (all the hotels in NY, on the Dec 4-5 were 2 times the regular price) so I decided to stay in and around the Newark Area. I bid $65, for a 3* Best Western Robert Treat Hotel. I don't know what to make of it yet but I guess we will find out. :)
  6. So I decided that I would go on a impromptu trip to New York City before my Final Exams. I'm only going because Expedia Canada had a promotion that gave me $300 voucher on a flight and hotel package to New York City (You can probably Google search, but it is now only for Canadians leaving from Canadian destinations). I have already booked a Hotel/Pod to check in Dec 3, check out Dec 4 at The Jane Hotel. Now I am looking for something nicer in Manhattan looking for 2 star and above (anything with a private bed would do) with a budget of about $100 for Check in Dec 4. I'm not too certain but for the last night I was thinking about staying near the Airport (JFK) so anything cheap around there is fine. And Bidding Ideas? Thanks
  7. Hello, i'm not too sure if this is the correct section but here we go! I am currently planning a road-trip from Buffalo International Airport to New York City with a couple of friends. I wanted to use the Priceline.com name your own price to book a rental car. From what I understand as long as I state my correct age at the time of the rental, and win a bid there is no additional fees right? How much should I exactly add to the bid amount in order to secure successful bidding. I've seen 18-20 fees range from $25 to up to $70/day What should I start my bids at? Does anyone have any information?
  8. I just booked a single day stay for $40/night For September 1st - September 2nd Woot, i'm liking this bidding thing.
  9. I just did a priceline bid for this for Sept 2 - 3rd and my bid of $55 was accepted!
