Seattle has been really expensive for all of August going by the bids reported. We have friends who have decided to go from 25th-30th and have been bidding on priceline with no luck for these dates (they aren't registered on these boards but I believe they have bid up to $190 for a 4* and $145 for a 3*), then checked hotwire and there is no option in the Downtown-Pike Place area for these dates at any star rating. I'm surprised how expensive Seattle is, considering other popular summer destinations have been much more affordable.
Correct. We won a priceline bid of $171 for 4 star hotel Pike Place for 8/26. The cruiers who stay in hotels there before/after cruises could also be taking up hotel availability.
Update, i used someone else's trick and went to $171 using the Lake Union area too. Got the Moncaco Seattle. Current Rate is $215

Just won Silver Cloud Broadway for 9/3-9/4 for a bid of $141. Still need help with the bidding for 8/26- 8/27
Looking for hotels in Downtown Pikes Peak area for a pre/post cruise stay.
Have had failed bids up to $153.00 for both. Was told if I bid $193.00 I could bid right away rather than waiting.
Any suggestions? I know 9/3 is a holiday weekend but this seems a little high
