  1. Not only is the resort fee high, but not everything we were promised that was included in this ridiculous fee was working. The movie for kids at 8:30pm never played that night, and the water shuttle was not in operation. The food here was really bad as well (had an appetizer upon check-in, dessert in the evening, and breakfast the next morning - all pretty bad). Would never chance staying here again.
  2. Was not impressed at all. Paid $95 for 9/2/10-9/3/10 and then was hit with a $30 "resort fee" upon check-in. a) this place is not a resort and :) the things they listed that were included in the 'resort fee' were not all applicable (the water shuttle/boat was not working, and the movie we tried to take our daughter to see on the lawn was not playing). The food was not good at all. We had an appetizer and drinks by the pool upon check-in, dessert later that night, and breakfast the next day - everything was below mediocre. They offer a lot of useless activites that I don't think anyone makes use of - the one I tried to make use of for our daughter was not even available (the movie) and as I ment'd - the boat service was also not in operation. Would never want to stay here again. So disappointed I did not get the Marriot as I had hoped.
  3. Yeah, it really is kind of high. This place is not a resort, even though they are trying to make it seem like one.
  4. Pretty bummed - just got here and they are charging us a $30 resort fee. We also requested a crib and they shoved a rollaway bed into our room that would never fit if we unfolded it.
  5. Yep, I did use one of the site's links to get to PRICELINE...even started over again when I realized I hadn't done it the first time. Will update on the hotel once we get back. Thanks again!!
  6. Was hoping for the Marriott due to hearing it is a better location, but still happy - the lowest advertised price on the website was $199/night. Can't complain about getting $95/night right before a holiday weekend in the summer here! Also called to request 2 double beds and a crib, and they were very accommodating. Some hotels act snotty about it when they see you booked through Priceline. Thanks betterbidding! This is a great site.
