I've been bidding for early September up to $155 and had no luck
Got the Parc 55 Wyndham San Francisco start at $160(USE,Nobb Hill) rebid up to 165 plus $5 bonus cash. I used the PRICELINE link as always!.
Got the Outrigger Reef On The Beach(9/7/12-9/8/12) for $165 used the PRICELINE link.
Used the HOTWIRE link of course. Hope The Venetian is a nice as The Palazzo kinda had my heart set on that.
Booked on hotwire in the end it turned out to be the Venetian at $135 a night.

It's strange I changed the currency to dollars on the hotwire.com. The rate is better on the HOTWIRE US site even with both in dollars. Thinking about booking its about $200 cheaper than any site I checked but might hold out for a better rate.
I just notice I put the wrong dates in I had June instead of September has this happen to anyone before. Will they do anything for me or am I screwed?
Update. They billed me for one night but I can get most of that back when I do go ahead and book another hotel phew!
Just notice its on the US version of hotwire for $1,021.18($127 a night plus tax)
The $127 rate doesn't seem to be there at the moment just checked, cheapest seem to be $155 a night total $1085 for the stay(hotwire rating 90%).

One other 5 star north strip hotel for $1100 seems to have the same amenities but a hotwire rating of 90%.
Haven't really set a limit yet but would be hoping to book the hotel for roughly $120 max
Trying for a 5 star in the south strip no luck bid up to $120 so far.
Did anyone up there tip for longer stays. I will be in Vegas for a week. It will be my honeymoon, so will be milking that for all its worth.
I used your PRICELINE link, its that all you need.
Just picked up the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort And Spa for $118 a night can't wait.
Thanks betterbidding for the tip off of this great rate.
My first bid of $130 plus $25 bonus cash(total $132.50 a night) was accepted on Priceline (using the betterbidding PRICELINE link) for the 5 nights.
Hope the area isn't too far out but it still is a great price going by the rates so fr this years. Two rooms worked out $1630.90 including taxes and insurance for 5 nights. The same deal is on HOTWIRE for $2K($169 plus taxes a night) or €3000 on Hotels.com!!!
Thanks again
Booked the Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Chelsea at $132.5.
Used the better bidding link of course
Thanks for All the help.
Well I upped my bid to $192.5(3.5*) and still no luck :)
Best I can see for my dates is a 3* on HOTWIRE for $192(The Manhattan at Times Square ) :) . Good to know what the difference in price is between the two sites
Thanks,
What was the price on HOTWIRE?
Cheers
Think I will leave it for a couple more weeks. I tried split the trip bid $145 for a 3* 1/11 till the 4/11 but no joy(MTE & MTW).
I think 2.5* is probably as low as I would want to go too. I had high hopes at first judging by last years rates. I might give it a couple of more weeks they may drop in price fingers crossed. My first trip to New York so was hoping for somewhere nice. Its a must see place for us Irish.
Not too sure what to do either drop to a lower rating 2.5* or try book an apartment. Might try split the trip up first see if I have any luck that way.Monday to Wednesday night be a cheaper rate usually.
The rates seem a lot higher than last year Doh!.
Thanks
I bid $140 at 3*.
